do anything about the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict.
Sin started it and sin maintains it on both sides. Obama is a sinner just like the rest of us. Sinners cannot solve sin problems. We must turn to the true Messiah, Jesus Christ.

Is it? Is the system really screwed up? I don't know but it occurred to me that the biggest problem is the judges and the attorneys.

How were the books of the Bible chosen?
The 39 books of the Old Testament form the Bible of
Judaism, while the Christian Bible includes those books
and also the 27 books of the New Testament. This list
of books included in the Bible is known as the canon.
That is, the canon refers to the books regarded as
inspired by God and authoritative for faith and life.
No church created the canon, but the churches and councils
gradually accepted the list of books recognized by
believers everywhere as inspired.
It was actually not until 367 AD that the church
father Athanasius first provided the complete listing
of the 66 books belonging to the canon.
-
He distinguished those from other books that were
widely circulated and he noted that those 66 books
were the ones, and the only ones, universally accepted.
-
The point is that the formation of the canon
did not come all at once like a thunderbolt, but
was the product of centuries of reflection.

(I did not write this but I like it.)
This is too true to be funny.
The next time you hear a politician use the
word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about
whether you want the 'politicians' spending
YOUR tax money.
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend,
but one advertising agency did a good job of
putting that figure into some perspective in
one of it's releases.
A. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.
B. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.
C. A billion hours ago our ancestors were
living in the Stone Age.
D. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two
feet.
E. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate our government
is spending it.
While this thought is still fresh in our brain...
let's take a look at New Orleans ...
It's amazing what you can learn with some simple division.
Louisiana Senator, Mary Landrieu (D) is presently asking Congress for 250 BILLION DOLLARS
to rebuild New Orleans. Interesting number...what does it mean?
A. Well... if you are one of the 484,674 residents of New Orleans (every man, woman, and child) you each get $516,528.
B. Or... if you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans, your home gets $1,329,787.
C. Or... if you are a family of four your family gets $2,066,012.
Hey!! Washington, D. C.!!
Are all your calculators broken??

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt
We had the largest middle class in the world
and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.
What happened?
Can you spell 'politicians!'
And I still have to press '1' for English!!!!

I have to say that we are politically ignorant, because we fail to realize that the single biggest threat to our way of life is not this political party or that one, but is in fact politics and politicians.

Do you ever wonder about "the End Times?"
I do all the time. I find myself searching for news about Israel. I listen to the news for any information on Iran and their Nuclear efforts.
The Bible clearly states that God will bless those who bless Israel. If you watch the news you can see that Israel is about to bomb Iran. Prophetically speaking, they can't, because Iran (Persia) is the country that will attack Israel in the end with the help of Russia.
I have my own Premillenial, Pre-Tribulation views but I am no prophecy scholar at all.
I believe all Christ followers will be taken to heaven prior to the bad stuff but I know there are many schools of thought and a boat load of whackos out there.
I am interested in a discussion not a fight or a big argument. I just wonder of anyone else thinks about all this stuff. Also is anyone scared?

What will you be doing next year on the fourth?
As I headed home tonight after my last service call, I began listening to some audio on Barack Hussein Obama. In one part he was talking about why he did not wear a lapel pin with the US flag on it. In another he was seen not placing his hand over his heart during the National Anthem.
I had already told my wife that I was not going to church for the music program tonight.
That was before I saw the video.
Afterwards, I decided that the one thing I did not want to miss was what could easily be the last time we get to celebrate our freedom.
Some gripe about our war, not understanding that freedom comes thru military victory and that there is no nation or nationality that has not fought for their freedom.
Some say they will vote for change when THEY KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT THE PERSON PROMISING CHANGE NOR WHAT THE CHANGES WILL BE.
I have always taken our freedom for granted, often times forgetting the blood my dad spilled in Korea on two different assignments with the Marine Corp rifle company.
Defensive weaponry for my home to protect my wife and I and the neighbors in the cul-de-sac will be my next large purchase.
I no longer feel safe and secure in these United States. While Michelle O has found something she can FINALLY be proud of, that same object of her attention is the very reason I have no plans for July 4th, 2009 other than to keep my powder dry.

Mighty To Save
by Hillsong
Everyone needs compassion
Love that’s never failing
Let mercy fall on me
Everyone needs forgiveness
The kindness of a Saviour
The hope of nations
Saviour
He can move the mountains
My God is mighty to save
He is mighty to save
Forever
Author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave
So take me as You find me
All my fears and failures
Fill my life again
I give my life to follow
Everything I believe in
Now I surrender
Shine Your light and let the whole world see
We’re singing
For the glory of the risen King

Casting Crowns - All Because Of Jesus
Giver of every breath I breathe
Author of all eternity
Giver of every perfect thing
To You be the glory
Maker of Heaven and of earth
No one can comprehend Your worth
King over all the universe
To You be the glory
And I am alive because Im alive in You
Its all because of Jesus Im alive
Its all because the blood of Jesus Christ
It covers me and raised this dead mans life
Its all because of Jesus Im alive
Im alive, Im alive
Every sunrise sings your praise
The universe cries out your praise
Singing freedom all my days
Now that I'm alive

Praise and worship music is not my favorite part of Sunday morning, but every so often the song leader in our contemporary service really catches me off guard. The preaching was great but the music was awesome today.
Rain Down Lyrics
by Delirious
Looks like tonight, the sky is heavy
Feels like the winds are gonna change
Beneath my feet, the earth is ready
I know its time for heaven's rain, it's gonna rain
Cos it's living water we desire
To flood our hearts with holy fire
Rain down all around the world we're singing
Rain down can you hear the earth is singing
Rain down my heart is dry but still I'm singing
Rain down rain it down on me.
Back to the start, my heart is heavy
Feels like it's time, to dream again
I see the clouds, and yes I'm ready
To dance upon this barren land
Hope in my hands
Do not shut, Do not shut, Do not shut the heavens
But open up, open up, open up our hearts
Give me strength to cross the water
Keep my heart upon Your altar
Give me strength to cross this water
Keep my feet don’t let me falter
Amen?
Aaaaaamen!!!
