I recently read a news article about two people in Alabama who were convicted of stealing from Walmart were punished to wear a sign that basically said "I'm a theif and stole from...".  I LOVE this...this is what our society needs.  The bottom line is ACCOUNTABILITY!  As a teacher the one thing that my students and many parents seem to not worry about is the concept of being held accountable for thier actions.... or rather lack of actions.  If they get in trouble, suspension is really not a big deal.  Not having homework...SO!  Getting sent to the office does not evoke any fear...this is just a walk away from the room.  Daily, I tell my students that thier choices may just come back to bite them, so choose wisely.

I am a wife, a mother and a teacher. I love to be with my family and enojoy experiencing life with my children. My career choice, teaching, was a natural progression for me, in that I loved learning and sharing what I learned with others. I also enjoy seeing learners grow and experience thier education. I love crafts, scrapbooking, and cooking. My husband and I strive to encourage our children to enjoy thier lives and do the best they can daily...which is the ethic I walk into my classroom with and share with my students.
