The war in Iraq has been and will be a topic {reason} that some people will use as a reason to vote against the Republicians, because they are against the war. The sad part is that "We the people " listen to politicians running for office and believe them.
The truth about WHO put us in this war is simple ,IF you research the FACTS . The U.S. Congress{voted on and passed by BOTH parties} legislation authorizing the President to Declare War on Iraq. Therefore this is THEIR War {both parties}not just Bushs War.
Now before you B.H.O. fans jump in with "he did not vote for it",you are right. I did not vote for it,you did not vote for it as well for the same reason We were not members ot the Congress at the time.
The dumbocrats use the number killed, wounded and cost to make their point that republicians are just a bunch of war mongers and will start more if left in power.
Let's research the wars this country has been in since WW1.
WW1:Against Germany, why: no real good reason. Germany had not done anything to us DEAD:146,000 WOUNDED:234,000
Washington controled by: The Democrats.
WW2: Germany,again no good reason, Japan,Good reason.
DEAD:418,000 Party in control: Democrats
The Korean War was not a war authorized by the U.S. Congress. President Harry S. Truman cited authority under United Nations resolutions. Major US Military involvement began with Task Force Smith on July 5, 1950. A cease fire agreement was signed on July 27, 1953; however no formal treaty has been signed to this date
DEAD: 33,700 WOUNDED: 92,000 President: Democrat
VIETNAM: To stop the tide of Communism,NO GOOD REASON!!!!!!!!!!
DEAD: 58,000 WOUNDED: 153,000 Power in Washington: Democrats
So which party is most prone to send our troops into a "No Good Reason War"? You decide for YOURSELF.
Keep in mind right now there are a number of countries ready to entise us into a fight, for no good reason because the Democrats have a track record of "Tucking Tail and Running" rather than stay and end the fight that they started. KOREA and VIETNAM: 91,000 DEAD,and the Democrats "Tucked Tail and RAN" rather than "Staying and Winning".
Now that is the kind of leaders I want running this country in times like these,NOT.

During her second term as mayor, Palin hired the Anchorage-based lobbying firm of Robertson, Monagle & Eastaugh to lobby for federal money for Wasilla. The effort was led by Steven Silver, a former chief of staff for Senator Ted Stevens,[31] and it secured nearly $27 million in earmarked funds. The earmarks included $500,000 for a youth shelter, $1.9 million for a transportation hub, $900,000 for sewer repairs, and $15 million for a rail project linking Wasilla and the ski resort community of Girdwood
Gridwood for those that don't know is a part of Anchorage.
These are the "terrible earmarks" that PBmom was so kind to bring to life, but in her oppinion these are a "BAD"thing for a Mayor to want.

This is just a food for thought blog, unless someone from FEMA can answer it.
I want to build a home in Beautiful Bandera, but 90% of Beautiful Bandera is in a 100 yr. flood plane. Therefore FEMA says inorder to build a dwelling in this plane the dwelling must be ABOVE FLOOD level, high in the air on stilts. Now that makes a degree of logical sense{keeps the water out if the river floods again}.
My question is with this rule of yours then HOW can a person build a dwelling ANYWHERE in NOLA. NOLA is ,has and always will be EIGHT FEET BELOW SEA LEVEL with a TEN FOOT LEVIE.Now if memorie serves me right the Ninth Ward of NOLA was under about 10-12 ft. of flood water 3 yrs ago. Yet you{FEMA} not only allowed NEW HOMES to be built on the ground but you paid for a lot of them.
Does FEMA have a different set of rules for NOLA,than they do for TEXAS?
