About the HPV shots to girls that are entering the 6th grade.  Ok there might side effects. If you are going to give the shots to girls then tell what side effects. It should not be manatory. It should be offered if the parents want their child the shot. I know its going to "Prevent STD's" If parents want their little girl getting the shot thats fine. If are going to make it manatory than make it where Girls are entering high school. Its to young to have them take a shot and than something happens to them. They should hold off and test it on them first. They should change the age on getting the shot.  Also if the Health care does not pay than who is going to pay?? The parents may not want their Child to have the shot. They force them to take it..

maybe this will help clear things up. It's not mandatory. Go to that link and check it out.

"Parents' Rights. The Department of State Health Services will, in order to protect the right of parents to be the final authority on their children's health care, modify the current process in order to allow parents to submit a request for a conscientious objection affidavit form via the Internet while maintaining privacy safeguards under current law. The man has no right to order any medical proceedure on any minor, let alone an adult. Thank God for the above law.

when you say it will "protect STD's" that's all the different STD's out there ,but what people are not getting is that HPV is only one type of STD. HPV has different types of levels of low risk to high risk, but it's only one type of STD. I just want to inform you about that.

I think we all get that point senior and no prob flyingman, I think the main point of contrversy of course is the thought that he's pushing this on people for this one particular shot.
