A while ago, I was at the computer catching up on today’s blogs when my husband fell asleep on the couch while watching TV.  When I got up to go to the kitchen, he jumped up and said “Whew, I almost dozed off there”.  I laughed and told him that he’d been asleep for 30 minutes but he didn’t believe me. 

I’m back at the computer and he is again, asleep.  I know this is wrong, but I can’t help myself and jump at the opportunity to mess with him J. I sternly call his name and ask “Did you almost doze off again?”  He looks at me, smiles and says, “No, I’m watching this [points to the TV]”.

Do you know someone who won’t admit to dozing off?

Another blogger (mommymaya) posted a blog for recipes and she received some good ones.  I’m interested in getting some good drink recipes.  I usually stick with my favorite, Martini (recipe below), but I want to try something new.

 Tuaca Lemon-Drop Martini

 1 oz. vodka

 1 oz. Tuaca

 1 oz. fresh lemon juice

 3/4 oz. simple syrup

On the way back from lunch today, we noticed some irresponsible parent (presumably) with their infant child in their lap in the front seat of the car with them with no seat belt.  I believe in Texas, if children do not have adequate safety restraints in the car, the driver’s fine, if guilty is around $200.  Does anyone else think this is a light punishment for someone that is knowingly putting a child in potential danger?  I think the driver should be charged with child endangerment.

I know there is always a lot of hype around new gaming systems but I’m not much of a gamer…until now.  I love the Nintendo Wii !!  My husband and I bought one after we played at a friend’s house and we have had so much fun.  Does anyone else have one?  I kick butt on tennis!!

My gripe for today is that once you get into a fast food drive thru, the lane blocks you in so you can’t get out.  What has this world come to when after you commit to having fast food, you can’t change your mind?? 

Does 20% chance for rain mean that:

1.  it will rain 20% of the day;

2.  20% chance it will rain;

3.  20% chance that the viewing area will get rain;

or none of the above?   Can a meteorologist chime in and tell me what it means?

I would make all grocery/convenient stores eliminate their "save you money" cards.  I hate carrying them and I have enough keys on my key ring already.  Why can’t they just give me a discount for the simple fact that I’ve decided to be their customer that day?
