As promised, here are some photos from Spring Break in New Mexico. Check out Carlsbad Caverns!

"HAS RESULTED," not "MAY RESULT"

I thought it looked like melting ice cream. But it's solid rock.

No service 700 feet underground??

Very cool pictures. Maybe if you had your "network" on Verizon you'd get service 700 feet underground (LOL). I always laugh on the TV show 24 that Jack Bauer can get a cell phone signal no matter WHERE he is!

VERY COOL! I've been there before! LOVE IT!

On a slightly related topic... have you ever seen Cities of the Underworld on the History Ch? It comes on on Monday nights at 8 pm (with some reruns throughout the week). It explores underground layers... buildings used in historical events (wars... etc). It's verrry interesting!

You should also check out the Natural Bridge Caverns in San Antonio. They're AWESOME! EVEN BETTER, check out the caverns in Monterrey Mexico (search: Grutas de Garcia). Now...that's a GREAT experience!

My X and I went to Taos & Santa Fe in Nov 1996. We went to the Gorge Bridge, and drove a LOT. It was beautiful.
My favorite part was driving up and up and up, then seeing the road meet the sky, and knowing the bottom was about to fall out..and it was breathtaking!!

Stormchaser,

Thanks for sharing the great photos. I've never been to Carlsbad Caverns. I've checked out Longhorn Caverns in Texas, but Carlsbad is the king when it comes to caves.

How cold was it in the cave and how long is the tour? Any dress suggestions when visiting the cave?

I've been down in Carlsbad twice in my life; once as a teen and then again a few years ago. It's nothing short of astounding!
