WITH GAS PRICES GOING HIGHER ALL THE TIME, OUR LIVES ARE CHANGED IN THE PROCESS.  SOME OF THE CHANGES ARE GOOD AND THEY WILL PROBABLY HELP SAVE MONEY.  SOME ARE CHANGES THAT WE MIGHT NOT WANT TO MAKE.  I KNOW THAT ON THE WEEKENDS I DON'T GO AS FAR AS I MIGHT WANT TO.  WHEN IT COSTS SO MUCH TO FILL UP I THINK THAT MANY OF US ARE LIMITING OUR TRAVELS TO SAVE MONEY.  HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD TO MAKE BIG CHANGES TO GET BY?

So true, Micheal, very insightful. We've all had to make sacrifices.
I just don't do as much recreational driving. Pretty much the only time the car leaves the driveway is when it's necessary. It costs me a fortune (even in a little Nissan 240SX) to visit my Dad and brother in East Texas, my Mom in Galveston, my sister in Pasadena, my sister in Greenville.
I don't really go out for fun anymore either, no place in my budget for that. (I'm starting to go nuts, too!) I used to like to go see a band play or shoot darts, go see a movie, go out to eat, stuff like that.
I sure hope things get better soon.

Your description of what you do match so many of us. Substitute some of the names with names of people in our life, and the visiting thing is the way many of us are going. I also love music and sometimes going somewhere to hear live music is out of the question. So, I guess you can say that we're with you even in saying,"I sure hope things get better soon".

I find myself staying around home much more too. My wife planned her whole day, every stop, right down to the last one. THEN she says I had to BACK the car into the driveway.
Well let me tell ya that just shot the hell right out of her map! LOL just kidding.
Hey don't stay too far from the live music scene. That's my bread and butter.

The days of just getting in the car and taking a drive to see where you end up are done. (For most anyway) I have no idea where it's all going to end up. Just have to keep plugging I guess....

I wonder if the gas prices are gonna come down? A lot of people are dumping their SUVs and luxury "gas guzzlers", so its a buyers market for those, but who in their right mind would drive one right now? tehe!!

I was thinking of that myself. Even if you were to get the deal of the day on one of those vehicles, who in their right mind would want one? I'm thinking that pretty soon its going to be like fancy golf carts on the street. It would be worth it to see the oil companies not having anyone to rip off.

Hi, I'm Michael the skyfox photographer. I'm a lucky guy who gets to fly around Houston every day and cover different news stories. Interests include classic cars, motorcycles, and just doing fun stuff. If you should have any suggestions about what you would like to see from the air, please let me know. Until then, I'll be watching from above.
