A Trucker's Wife Point of View

For the past month I have had our tv on adias. I finally got all the wiring and evrything i needed to do to have it working right. In the mean time my children and I did other things. We read, we played on the computer and we watched complete seasons of different shows. We watched movies as well. A lot of times the kids would run outside and play. It got me wondering, back when I was young kids were forced outside.  We had to playuntil time to come in and eat etc. Of course we didn't complain that just mesant no housework for us to do. So when your tv is not working right what do you do? What did you do with Ike when you had no pwer? I revisited my inner child :)~

I was working yesterday in a first grade class. And all I could think was wow. I guess I am so used to being at the middle school it takes a day away to realize how the way parents parent is night and day from each other. I had a student try to bend my finger all the way back becuase i would not all him/her to go to the nurse. THey had been trying to get out of class all day and was not falling for it. Thing that gets me the office didn't seem to care. Granted I doubt any damage would have ever been done but the attempt was there and no punishment was given. Now this child will get to other schools and think they could get away with being rude and disrespectful to subs.

I had a parent teacher confrence with my son's teacher today and though he is doing well on tests he is getting lazy. NOw I have tried incentives and the teacher has but to no avail. So now it is now punishment time for getting lazy.  The tough job as mom. But I fiqure he likes cubscotts so much maybe he will have to sit out on a few meetings. With the pine derby race this saturday i wonder if he will get all of his assignments turned in.

 

Last Thursday CMS went against Huffmen in middle school basket ball. Huffmen won all but 1 game. CMS 8th grade A team kicked butt and was great. The last quarter was like one big Keep Away game. It was HILARIOUS!!!!

But the biggest news was, the coach for 7th grade teams chose my daughter to MVP for the night!!!! She is getting so much better!!!!! I am such a proud mamma!

I will be the first to say Bush was not the greatest President but he wasn't the worse. Yes It has been a very very trying 8 years but you know the president can only do as much as the house and congress allow them to do! Remeber the checks and balances!!!!

My husband and I was at are best three years ago. HMMMMMM gee who was the president back then???? oh that's right BUSH!

As for Obama he has a lot to prove and see how many things he actually keeps his word. Though I believe Torchbearer when he said the only person who can save our country is not a politician. I will give him his first year to see how well he does. I truly pray we do not  get attacked becuase everything he does will be scrutinized like it was for Bush. How long are you going to give him? How long was it before you decided you did not like Bush as President?

Good Luck to Obama and I do pray he does our country proud.

Ok now this is disturbing. A mail truck cuaght fire after going through debris on 45. In the report it states they were able to save the mail. Ok that is good but what about the driver? It waits till the end. To me the driver being safe is more important than the mail. but then again that is my 2 cents worth.

So how did you pick your faveorite bloggers???? Mine I select those that blog about things I am interested in. I want those who I can have an adult disagreement with and those I can understand them when they write. So how did you pick yours and who is your #1 fave???? everyone knows mine :)

     What a tragedy that happened on Black friday. Now the siblings are filing against Wal Mart. Should Wal Mart be responsible for what people do???

     They could have had the Marines out there and it could have still happened. One makes the remark about how the handle the crowd for the Iphone but that is no where near revelent for the situation that happend at Wal Mart. Can you picture going into a WALMART IN A SINGLE FILE LINE??? Yeah right it would never work, then you would have had someone get upset about waiting and then sue for not making it comfortable while waiting.

    The people who trampled the store employee should be the nes sued not the retailer. They had extra employeees etc. And it wasn't just that store that had those sales and it didn't happen to the other locations. The people who physically stepped on him is the reponsible party. Us as citizens should be able to control ourselves. For saving a few dollars is no reason to act like children in a candy store. The people who trampled in like a herd of elephants should be ashamed of the way they acted and be held responsible for THEIR actions.

This morning was a good morning. It was nice and cold and felt like Winter. I headed to work thankful that I had work to go to. Husband was getting ready to head out on his next  load still suffering from Strep. Kids ready for school for them to get a days full of learning. Days like today I really enjoy being who I am and what I do. I took my roommate to the hospital to have her labor induced. So the only bad thing is I will have another little being in the house that I will most likely have to make sure is being cared for correctly. I am hoping that this will give her the wake up call she needs to realize what she is in for.

I am working for a teacher who will be out fopr awhile. I took the time to day to basically observe each class to see what or how I will have to handle each class. Some students for some reason think that if there is a sub they don't need to be respectful or that they do not need to do their assignments like they should. It really surprises me on how many just do not care what they get for grades and if they pass or fail. I could not ever imagine my kids thinking the way some of these kids think now and days. The school district is apart of VSI and I am able to check my child's grades at any time I feel and this way I am able to keep them on track and to get the grades they need to get.

Thanksgiving was great. Hubby was able to come home and I gpot to spend time with my in laws.

So that is how I am doing today. Hope you all are still counting your blassing and cherishing each and every moment possible.

I am always trying to protect my kids but want them to fill what being hurt is and how it feels so they don't hurt others. My neighbor brought over her two girls which are around the same age as my two. They were all playing and next thing I know my oldest is in here crying because my roomie took out her chair where they were playing and now her friend is busy talking to my roomie and has quit playing with my daughter and then here comes the smallest one with the same thing. Why would a 22 year old want to monoploize a 13 and 8 yeard old from playing with my children? I cannot understand why someone just has to be the center of attention like that. So do I tell her to come inside or do I wait for my neighbor to come back and then talk to her. Or do I tell my kids to suck it up it is apart of life???? OH sometimes it is hard being mom............

The Cleveland Middle School 7th and 8th grade girls basketball made second place in their first basketball tournament this past weekend. My daughter plays on the 7th grade team as so does many newbies to basketball. we are very proud of them for doing quite well.

       WAY TO GO                 INDIANS!!!!!!!!!

2008 has been one tough year.  For myself and my husband we have gone through jobless periods, We have come close to losing our house, our marriage and our sanity.

I am thankful that my husband has a good job with a good company and that we are getting back to the way we were when we first got married. I am thankful that my children have teachers that are patient with them and that my oldest has gotten tougher classes and still makeing the honor roll even with the basketball and choir practices plus honor society meetings. I am thankful that my son has found a group where he enjoys being a part of. He is not a cub scout bear and he is learning alot. I am thankful that my youngest even though always being picked on still loves herself.

I am thankful that I am still owrking at the schools as a sub. I am thankful that my kids are no where close as some of the kids i have subbed. I am thankful that Cleveland has hired some great teachers who make a difference in these little lives of the future.

I am thankful for being a part of a blogging family where we all can be who we are. That we can respect each others opinion and when one is attacking another we can stand beside each other and still call each other friends. I am thankful for the web sites of the day.

I am thankful that the Presidential election went as smotth as it did. That americans came together and everyone voted for who they did. And that the candiates came together afterward to show that even after a touch campaign that they were united in makeing our United States strong again.

WHAT a GREAT turnout we had!!!!!! I loved chatting with everyone. I loved meeting the ones I hadn't before and loved seeing those you I have.  I think we all had great fun.
I was going to write something special to everyone but i am afraid to miss someone. I had so much fun I can hardly describe.

Wow I didnt even notice. I have been blogging with FOx for 2 years!!!! This has been one of the best sites I have ever joined.

Some things I have learned from Fox...

1. There are some pretty great web sites out there. Thanks to mytechguy for the great web sites of the day... How could i start my morning without Doug???

2. Even though we all have difference of opinions on all sorts of subjects, we can always get together and have a good time.

What are some of the things you like best about being a fox 26 blogger?????????

My roommate is a big girl. She has next to nothing in the line of clothes. She is near a size 50 in pants. If you have clothes in this size range would you please let me know. The charities dont have clothes this big and I cannot afford to take her and get new clothes. my budget has no room for that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
