The recent story involving the two missing kids from Pasadena got me to thinking about the times we see parents on the news, big old tears in their eyes, begging and pleading for their child's safe return all the while knowing they killed them. As I write this there are no criminal charges filed in the Pasasdena case but cops aren't keeping their suspicions that Dad is possibly involved a secret. think about how many times you've seen the awful scenario played out. Your heart breaks as you watch these parents appear to be distraught, overwelmed and dealing with the unimaginable. then a few days or a few weeks later your disgusted to learn the grieving parent is the one with blood on their hands. if you ask me there's a special place in you know where for parents who pretend to be frantically looking when in reality they know the awful truth.

Randy, the police knocked on our door Sunday night looking for those kids. We asked if the cops needed any help, suggested they check the pool behind our building, the drainage ditches along Crenshaw and Burke, and the duck pond in Crenshaw Park. They said they had all the searchers they needed at the time, and thanked us.
We sat on our balcony, watching the people look for these babies. We saw Randy Sylvester, aimlessly wandering around the parking lot, holding his....pants, and looking in car windows. He seemed way out of it to me. I chalked it up to shock, Tony said it looked like he was trippin...he looked bored. Now we know why. It was all a show.

Some news guy slips you a little innuendo and now you know the truth? I sure hope you never get to sit on a jury

Randy, it seems this is why we all seem to immediately look at the parents with suspicion anymore. Gone are the days of the "bushy-hair stranger" as the first suspect. It's horrible what some parents do to their kids, then do to the media. I will never be able to understand how anyone could hurt a child, much less their own.

Wow, to be able to kill your OWN children is "mind boggling"!

When you have people in your society with this mentality, & numbers growing daily, it is scary!

My wife works at a dept. store in a mall, & some mexican customers bring their kids in & they let them exercise bowl movements in the aisles, rather than take them to th bathroom--?

Wierd!

This guy deserves the worst possible punishment. I hope there is at least a decent burial for these children.

mr. ed, can you tell me what your ranting about groups of people you hate has to do with the death of these children?

WW has a point with parents no longer being able to blame "the stranger" because forensics and the diligence of search teams (something not present 30 years ago) helps find missing kids, or the remains in quick order.

As for sociopathic parents who kill and pretend to grieve? I blame it on movies, TV, and a media obsessed with violence, who has to saturate everything with violence to the point where the public is desensitized to even the most graphic acts of violence.

The American public and the European public have polar opposite views on this. Euros have a laize faire attitude towards nudity, but severely restrict media with violence, whereas in the United States, nudity is strictly prohibited, but you can turn on over the air TV and watch someone be slowly tortured to death through extremely graphic acts. This kind of stuff even comes on when kids are watching.

The US needs to wake up and smell what it's shoveling.

I can't blame it on movies. Art immitates life as much as life immitates art. Some people are sick, evil individuals.

It just broke my heart to find out what happened to these beautiful children. And to see this guy playing the media like a piano. There's a special place in hell for this guy. The sooner he get's there , the better. God bless those tiny souls. They are in a far better place.
