murder better than divorce?

an atlanta man is behind bars accused of killing his own daughter.  police said the father (chaudhry rashad) was angry because he felt his daughter (sandela kanwal) was disgracing the family with plans to divorce her pre-arranged husband.  so divorce is more disgraceful than murder?  what is wrong with these people?

Unfortunately, he carried the Eastern mentality to the US. you know the one: where they murder rape victims, etc., and do it in the name of "family honor." BTW, you are a spiffy-looking nurse!

WELL RANDY , ARRANGED MARRIAGES STILL DO HAPPEN ALL OVER THE EARTH ! AND YES SOME PEOPLE TAKE FAMILY HONOR TO A LEVEL MOST AMERICANS HAVE NOT SEEN IN THIS GENERATION . MR. RASHAD IS MORE THAN LIKELY A MUSLIM BROTHER FROM SOUTH ASIA ( INDIA, PAKISTAN )AND THESE KIND OF THINGS GET UGLY WHEN THE " BLUSHING BRIDE " DOES NOT COOPERATE WITH THE FAMILY'S WISHES . IT HAPPENS WHERE I'M FROM WHEN PEOPLE ELOPE AND THE FAMILIES WERE LEFT IN THE DARK . BLOOD USUALLY GETS SPILLED ON BOTH SIDES . MARRIAGE IS SACRED IN MY FAITH AND THE LOCAL CUSTOMS MIXED IN STATE THAT A WOMAN'S CHASTITY AND OBIDIENCE IS THE HONOR OF A FAMILY . I DON'T EXPECT ANYONE WHO IS BORN HERE TO UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM SAYING ...

That's why it is so important that the immigrants who come here ASSIMILATE..they shed their old customs and adapt to ours!!

AL ISLAM IS THE ANSWER FOR ME . BUT LIKE I SAID , SOME LOCAL CUSTOMS IN ALOT OF MUSLIM COUNTRIES HAVE BECOME PART OF WHAT PEOPLE THERE SEE AS ISLAMIC . ALTHOUGH ALOT OF PLACES STILL HAVE ARRANGED MARRIAGES , ALOT OF YOUNGER PEOPLE ALL OVER THE MUSLIM WORLD ARE CHOOSING THEIR SPOUSES THESE DAYS . I STILL THINK EITHER WAY IS O.K. BUT AS FOR WHAT NON MUSLIMS THINK , I WILL SAY , IT IS WHAT IT IS .
