We covered a health story on how breast augmentations have increased 900% in the last 15-years. We also followed a woman, from Brazil, who now lives in Houston. She's famous in her country for having the largest implants.

Many people base their opinions on people, on how they look, or how they dress. I was amazed that this blonde bombshell has an incredibly kind soul and dedicates all of her spare time, volunteering in the community... and has a special interest in raising money, to help children in need.

She says people like big boats, big houses... she likes big implants.

How do you feel about that? Add a comment below.

In case you missed the report, watch the video and view before and after photos.

I'm struggling with what bad habit to drop.  I just HAVE to have my Snicker's bar, when I'm all stressed out.  Hmmm?  Maybe I'll add a day of exercise, each week?

What can you do?

It was all over the news today - an earthquake near San Antonio!  When I first heard it, I thought - San Antonio, California?   :)

Nope, Texas!  That hits a little close to home. Many people say it shook them out of bed.   What would your first thougt be, if an earthquake woke you up in the middle of the night, in Houston?

I would probably think someone ran their car into my house?!

(oh, and no - the pic. above is not from Texas!)    :)

Delmar Labs DEX-C20 Advanced Weight Loss Formula Capsules

DEX-c20 is a dietary supplement, imported from India, that supposedly reduces appetite, burns calories, and increases energy.  (The FDA has NOT approved it.)

Have you ever heard of it or know anyone who has taken/is taking it?

A woman presents an urn with the design of a soccer ball at the

Check this out --- FORGET "stuffy urns"... a funeral company is now making them in the shape of a soccer ball!

First off, I don't want to be cremated, but if I did... I think I'd want my urn to either be a mother's arms or ballet slippers.

What would best symbolize YOUR life?

Yea, I realize this is a morbid topic - but let's have fun with it!

Can it really be making young girls go through puberty when they're toddlers and make boys homosexual?  Just do a google search of "side effects of soy"... that's all the headlines you'll find!

Our Damali Keith even did a story about what's affecting young girls and making them go through puberty so young... local doctors question soy?!

Turns out, there's a chemical in soy that's just like estrogen... and many people are filling their children up with soy formula and soy milk.

Does this SCARE YOU?  and what do you think about it?

So, where is she now? You may have gotten a peek into Ceci's life, during our morning show, Thurs. 3/17. If not - her story airs again Thursday at 9pm.

Cecilia is no longer on air at Fox 26. She has decided full-time employment is too difficult for her family life, so she's now devoting more time to her special needs daughter, Sarah.

She lit up our t.v. screens in Houston for 10-years on Fox 26! I'm sure she'd love to hear from you... so that you can light up her computer screen! :) Feel free to send her a message, through this blog.

My message to you, Cecilia: You were incredible to work with, I respect you, I admire you, I love your positive attitude, and I miss you more than you'll ever know!

Teachers are scared of their students?  What is going on???   A recent study, you can find on this web site, shows 25% of our local teachers fear for their safety.

I find this shocking & terribly sad.    Fear has NEVER crossed my mind, working at a t.v. station.

Do you feel safe in your workplace?

This is a follow up to a health story I'm working on.  Some doctors warn us to NOT microwave our food in plastic... so we're testing PLANTS, to see how they handle it...

I nuke the water, let it cool off, then water the plant on the left - regular tap water on the right (same amount, same day, etc.)   I'll be airing the results on Fox 26 in just a little over a week.

Do YOU see a difference, so far?  If so - WHAT?

Have you heard some of the radical doctors say - THROW AWAY YOUR MICROWAVES... they're causing cancer and disease and killing us off?

Other experts say - NO WAY!  There's no proof that microwaves are dangerous - either b/c of radiation or from plastics and other things that can melt into food.

I want to know - do you think microwaves are safe?

I'm conducting an experiment, and I'd love for you to join me.  It's testing (cooled) microwaved water on plants.  Here are the simple directions:

1.  Use two plants (same type of plant)

2.  Warm water in microwave at least 3-minutes in plastic

3.  Water one plant with the microwaved water, after it's cooled,  and water the other plant  with tap water

4.  Make sure your plants are properly labeled (microwaved and tap water)

That's it!  We'll try it for 2-weeks and see what happens!  Can't wait to hear your results!

It's a challenge, as a journalist to report on horrifying stories, like this.  How do you feel?  Are you sad?  Are you mad?  Are you fearful for your children, who might be in school?

Have you ever met someone, who makes you just want to do better in life?

I recently got to sit down with former NFL MVP "Boomer" Esiason.  He's using his well-known name to raise millions of dollars for more research on cystic fibrosis.  That's because he spends hours a day helping treat his son, who has C.F.  What a difference he's making for his son and thousands of C.F. patients!

Who lights a fire under you?

Sooo.... now the big question is... is it a BOY or a GIRL?

It's a BOY!!!!  A precious baby boy.  My husband & I are SO EXCITED!   It's ACTUALLY a huge deal to our family that we're having a boy... b/c my hubby was the "end of the line" for his family name.  Now, we get to carry on his name with 2-sons.

This little guy is due on our son's 3rd birthday.  Talking about reason for celebrations!

Do you have fun stories to share about 2-kiddos around the household?   (or perhaps growing up with your siblings?)  Everyone warns me that having 2 children makes life so hectic - but I've been waiting a LIFETIME for this challenge!    :)

I love babies... if it hadn't taken me so long to meet my husband, we'd probably have a dozen by now... they're cheaper that way, ya know!   ha ha.

I enjoy anchoring the 9pm news at Fox 26 and also serving as Medical Reporter. My favorite parts of the day are hanging out in the O.R. in scrubs, then heading back to the station to get behind the anchor desk. One of my other favorite roles is being a mother. I was blessed with a son two years ago, and he has helped me see the world from a new perspective. I enjoy everything just a little more, now! I certainly look at medical reports in a new way, and understand more how important it is to help keep our viewers healthy & happy!
