No, this blog didn't get accidentally moved over from last year!  :) 

It's just that I was shopping this past weekend in one of my favorite stores.  While stuff was still on sale from the 4th of July... workers were setting up Halloween displays.  They sure don't waste time, eh?

So, are you ready to plan your elaborate costume, or do you wanna just say "buzz off" for a while?    ;)

I’m not a big fan of Halloween but I might get a chance to check some parties this year. The last two Halloweens I had to work. What about you?

I was talking to a few friends this week about this same subject. They really do need to wait. Goodness, with Back to School and Tax free days around the corner, I'm sure many people want to focus on shopping for the kids.

kemo - I definitely work most Halloweens, as do most t.v. "folks" --- b/c we're already in the "November ratings" period.

That's retailers for ya. I used to like Christmas, but now, by the time it comes around, I am so desensitized to it, that it's just a relief that it's over. It certainly doesn't reflect what it is SUPPOSED to reflect anymore. It's all about what can you buy for whom, and where can you buy it first? sickening.

Skyder, finding the perfect gift does get overwhelming sometimes! It's a shame that the holiday has turned to green & red stuff and presents!

It's just part of the t.v. biz... 4-months out of the year, t.v. stations are looked at very closely... then advertisers can tell who's watching what... and where they want to spend their advertising dollars.

That means reporters & anchors do not take any time off from work! :)

I enjoy anchoring the 9pm news at Fox 26 and also serving as Medical Reporter. My favorite parts of the day are hanging out in the O.R. in scrubs, then heading back to the station to get behind the anchor desk. One of my other favorite roles is being a mother. I was blessed with a son two years ago, and he has helped me see the world from a new perspective. I enjoy everything just a little more, now! I certainly look at medical reports in a new way, and understand more how important it is to help keep our viewers healthy & happy!
