Usually driving down lovely Highway 59... heading to Fox 26.... something will just "pop" into my mind about what I want to share with our blogging community & to see if I can get your take on it.

What sparks your topics?  Do you find you mostly write about your passions?  About something that drives you bananas?  What "lights" your writing fire?

I guess social injustice is my big topic. Corporate greed. The environment. Things that are making us sick. Things I'm passionate about. But when things get too heavy, I need a comedy fix. I hope that what I've written might make someone say, "Huh, I didn't know that, think of it that way" and I look forward to responses that make me think the same way. And responses that make me feel like I'm not the only person that feels that way about a particular topic. When you are writing for publishing, you often don't get that feedback, but blogging gives you instant feedback.

Anything and everything that rubs me the wrong way will spark a blog idea and sometimes my whacky ideas that pop into my head, that becomes a topic. Sadly, half the ideas never make it to the screen.

Melissa, you once told me to say how I really feel in one of your blogs. I'm never at a loss for words on any subject but this year politics has really PO'ed me with the most worthless candidates ever allowed to try for the job. So I sent a very nasty letter to several people in Washington to get their attention. "You may have to come bail me out of jail"! So lets get our stuff ready to try and take America back from the crooks and snakes who are running our Country. Remember you are my vice presidential running mate! I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed but our yorkie has more smarts than the two candidates put together.

LOL-I get a "writers block" and may not write a blog for a long time, THEN, something comes to my mind-and it seems I write 1 or 2 more blogs LOL! There's so many unfamiliar bloggers now--I LOVED it when Andrea did the Blogger profiles-you got to know who you were blogging with!!

Redtractotom: My house has been routinely under FBI surveillance with my comments about our adminnistration and I've told many that if I disappear, look at Gitmo first. LOL

Oh well, let them watch me also! One thing they had best consider though, I DO NOT shoot for the bullet proof vest. And even if I did the vest will not, I repeat, will not stop the bullet. In fact, it will go through more than one before slowing down.

Hell, I'm too old to be scared and I won't fight but I will kill if need be.

Well, I'm going to have to be politically correct, since I'm redtractortom's running mate... so I'll plead "no comment".
tee hee.

PBMom, I've learned a lot from your blogs! :)

Something new to be learned...that is what drives me. I look foward to learning from others...and this is the perfect medium. I also get a chance to offer my own opinions for critisizm (sp). After all...having an opinion doesn't mean you are correct in your thoughts.

Yip, Foehammer, I know what you mean. I often find our bloggers "opening my mind" about something... :)

I enjoy anchoring the 9pm news at Fox 26 and also serving as Medical Reporter. My favorite parts of the day are hanging out in the O.R. in scrubs, then heading back to the station to get behind the anchor desk. One of my other favorite roles is being a mother. I was blessed with a son two years ago, and he has helped me see the world from a new perspective. I enjoy everything just a little more, now! I certainly look at medical reports in a new way, and understand more how important it is to help keep our viewers healthy & happy!
