Here are a few crazy laws still on the books in the UK.

It is illegal to die in the Houses of Parliament

It could be regarded an act of treason to place a postage stamp bearing the British king or queen's image upside-down.

 Eating mince pies on Christmas Day is banned.

In the UK, a pregnant woman can legally relieve herself anywhere she wants.

The head of any dead whale found on the British coast automatically becomes the property of the King, and the tail of the Queen.

It is illegal not to tell the tax man anything you do not want him to know, but legal not to tell him information you do not mind him knowing.

It is illegal to enter the Houses of Parliament wearing a suit of armour.

A law enacted by George I states that: "The severest penaltys will be suffered by any commoner who doth permit his animal to have carnal knowledge of a pet of the Royal house."

In York, it is still legal to murder a Scotsman within the city's ancient walls, but only if he is carrying a bow and arrow.

In a law passed in 1837, women are allowed to bite off a man's nose if he kisses her against her will.

A law enacted by Edward VI states that anyone found breaking a boiled egg at the sharp end will be sentenced to 24 hours in the village stocks.

It is illegal to stand within one hundred yards of the reigning monarch when not wearing socks.

A motorist who feels compelled to urinate in public can do so only if he aims for his rear wheel and keeps his right hand on his vehicle.

It is against the law and punishable by a fine of $10,000 for a liquor store to sell a gift bag for a bottle of wine!

Just read something today that I'm not really sure how to react to.

It seems that the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, needs an emergency lung transplant! He also has severe gastrointestinal bleeding and is 95% blind in his left eye.

Is this a person I should feel sorry for? I know that I should not wish him ill health but should I wish him speedy recovery? I'm just having a hard time feeling sorry him. In one reply to the article I read, someone said that it's ironic that first his outsides fall apart and now his insides! Is this chance or is this divine retribution? Given his past, should I care either way?

Guess what!? Rosie O'Donnell is canceling her variety show!
I know I know! It's sad huh? NOT!

It seems the queen skank of comedy didn't get enough ratings and she thought it was best to pull the plug after ONE EPISODE!. She was going up against her rival from the View, Baba Waawa! Babs was interviewing his holiness Obama. Looks like one O torpedoed another O! Way to go Barry! It's the first damned thing you have done right, even if you had no control over it. Anyway, Rosie gave up after one show. Kinda encapuleates the liberal way. If you don't get it handed to you right away, don't stick it out and work harder, just giver up and whine! In this case, I'm glad she did! I would hate to be channel flipping and see her face without warning! Ewwwwww!

Why Inequality Works!

      Okay....you just got past the title and you think I'm insane right? Inequality works you ask? The answer is yes. Bare with me and I'll explain.

      Nature HATES anything static. The earth revolves around the sun because the pull of the sun is held at bay by the centripetal force of the spinning earth. The wind blows because we have high and low pressure areas that move air from the high to the low. From the jungle to the desert, some animals are hunters and some are prey. Inequality in humans is no different!

      Telling a child he's just as good as the child next to him harms him as much as if you beat him physically. For a child or an adult to excel, he/she needs two things, something to move away from and something to move toward. A child that gets an F on a test knows he has to move away from the F and toward the A, thus he studies harder and improves. Take away the reward of the A or the punishment/stigma of the F and the child has no reason to change. Witness inequality in action!

      As an adult, people need no less a motivator in order to grow. How many of you have met wealthy people that are as dumb as a box of rocks? let's dub this the Paris Hilton syndrome. This person has a polar opposite in the poor moron that is happy where he is. In between, people move up and down the monetary and social ladders, much like the wind blows from high to low pressure. Think of wealth as high pressure and poverty as low pressure. Both are needed to make money FLOW. Anyway, back to the motivation. Poor people look up at the wealthy know they must work harder in order to get where they are. Wealthy people look to those below them and know they need to work hard to keep what they have. People in the middle have both extremes to motivate them. Again, inequality in action!

     Take away the extremes and no one has a reason to work hard or grow as a person. This is the reason “spreading the wealth around” and making everyone “equal” is doomed to failure! Once everyone is made the same, we all begin to stagnate and die!

     Lately, I have heard a lot about “class envy”. This should be relabeled “Class Hate”! Class envy is actually good! If you envy what you see, you will work harder to get the same. If you look at someone wealthy and hate them because they have more, you will have no problem taking away what they worked so hard to get. If that sounds okay to you, just remember, what they can take away from the wealthy, they can take away easier from the rest of us! The average man needs wealthy people to supply jobs through business owned or to buy goods and services from the business you work for.

     The wealthy person needs the average person to work and produce the things they sell. If you cut off the legs of the wealthy man, jobs will be lost and no one will be left to stand on their own.

     Without inequity, our whole world would grind to a halt! The nice thing is that in this country at least, you can do anything you want and be wealthy or poor. It's your choice! Remember, you will never have wealth if you wait for someone to give it to you! Lotteries not included.

The number two guy in al Qaeda, Ayman al-Zawahiri , in a tape released today said that Barack Obama has betrayed his Muslim roots.  Didn't take them long huh? Wait a second! I thought he wasn't a Muslim though? Oh okay...it's just his roots that are! Whatever!

In the tape, al-Zawahiri says "You have reached the position of president, and a heavy legacy of failure and crimes awaits you. A failure in Iraq to which you have admitted..."
WAY TO GO BARRY! You gave them ammo before you even got elected! Well done on the foreign affairs front!

Another telling quote from Al "You were born to a Muslim father, but you chose to stand in the ranks of the enemies of the Muslims, and pray the prayer of the Jews, although you claim to be Christian, in order to climb the rungs of leadership in America. And so you promised to back Israel, and you threatened to strike the tribal regions in Pakistan, and to send thousands more troops to Afghanistan, in order for the crimes of the American crusade in it to continue,"

Geeeee Barry, didn't make them angry already did you? Don't worry Barry. As soon as you sit down with Ahmadinejad, aka Imanutjob, things will be okay again. He'll tell you exactly what to do to make your daddy's side of the family happy again!

BTW, you can easily swap the word citizen for business and the rules still apply!

Okay folks...

I was watching the news today and saw that Iran has a missile that can now reach Europe. Should we wait for them to finish developing their "nuclear power" plants? I know that some will say as they do, that the missile is only defensive, but it can't be used against battlefield targets. It's a 1st strike/retaliatory weapon! Should we give them time to put a nuclear point on their new stick or do something about it NOW?

Maybe this is the crisis of which Joe Biden spoke!?
I know one thing, Mr Obama can talk a good game, but he can't talk a missile out of the air!

The real examination of the Obama administration began on the night he won. All people could talk about was Michelle Obama's dress! Is this the hard hitting journalism we are to expect from the press over the next four years?

I'll weigh in on it! I think the dress looks like a cheap car seat cover! The kind you get at Walmart and see on old 1980's IROC Z Camaros! *lol* The kids are dressed well and Barry has a lovely suit. But the important thing to the press is that dress!  Is she PROUD of that dress?*lmao*

President elect Obama has always has trouble speaking when not planted firmly in front of a teleprompter.  Today at a press conference, he was asked if he had conferred with past presidents about what lay ahead of him. He said he had spoken with former Presidents and added "all of them that are living,"! NO KIDDING BARRY!*lol* After realizing that was a stupid thing to say, he tried to turn it into a joke and made it worse. He added  "I didn't want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about, you know, doing any seances." That's it Barry, make fun of a widow! Are these the mistakes you said you would make?

I have heard that the late night talk shows are going to have no joke material during the Obama term. I think the off the prompter gaffs and fun are just beginning! I I did liked his joke about him being akin to a pound puppy because he is a mutt like them. That was much funnier!


Just a side note, the story I have heard reported most about the coming Obama administration is what kind of dog he's going to get for his kids! I hope this isn't a sample of the hard hitting journalism that we'll get for the next 4 years!

Recently, some idiot, posted a photo that must have been so obscene that it caused our blog admin to block us all from posting and embedding photos and video in our own blogs. We can upload here to our personal galleries but who wants to keep having to do that and get approval each time? Plus there's no way to upload video or link to those found on sites like YouTube.  I never saw the offensive photo posted here, so I have no clue who did it or what made it so bad. I am however angry that once again, someone crossed a line that punishes us all!

There are provisions in place already to report an offensive blog or blogger. Isn't this enough to protect us? We are adults here, for the most part, and should be able to handle something until admin deletes an offense!

Congratulation to President Elect Obama. You won what some thought was unwinable. You are taking steps that no black American has ever taken. As you take these steps, watch your footing because you are not just holding the dreams of your race but you hold the lives of the nation as a whole. Lean not too far to one side or you will topple us all. Be humble in your win and you will gain the respect you should have as president of this great country. Respect in turn the office you will hold and keep it well for those who will occupy it after you. Know that the margin of your win means you have to balance carefully, the decisions you will make. Your job will not be an easy one as it is never easy, even for the most popular of your predecessors. Do not let this country down or you will dash the future hopes of your race, may they be on the left or the right.
