Voting Online???

Since it's voting time and the voting turnout will be low every time, make voting online. Since most of us are too lazy or just sitting at the computer all day, we should be able to vote online. In ALL elections. I think the voting turnout will change DRAMATICALLY!!

I like the idea, but I'm not sure we have the technology to ensure the vote is cast by the registered voter and not someone else.

Since I do network security for a living.....I would have to say NO.. There's too many ways someone could vote several times and with the help of a couple hack programs, 400 or 4000 times!!
Just remember, if it goes across the wire, it can be scanned, manipulated and/or changed.

Lexx1980, Now that's funny.. So let's let even more of their security secrets out to the public. That's almost as funny as the sticker on some of the new routers and firewalls I've gotten that says "This product contains encryption and may require U.S. and/or local government authorization prior to export or import to another country." right next to the "Made in China" sticker..lol

I do think that would be a lot more convenient. Less time consuming and everyone that cant make it out to they can do it at work. lol!!!

I think dying the index finger is the fool proof way to go. Pity it was not used in Florida, we may have had Albert Gore, Jr. as President and NO war
p.s You'd have thought if he invented the internet he would have hacked the results in his favor.

hahahaha!! yall are funny, word up. We should just write down on a piece of paper who and what we are voting for and put it in a HUGE ballot box. Have cameras and guards posted up at every angle 24/7 at the ballot box so no crooked crap can happen. Then at the end to decided who's the next president or mayor, we open the box and count all the votes on live TV. Simple, but effective strategy i think. It can combat all this crazy, hacking technology we have now. Go back to the basics,lol.

But someone's gonna ALWAYS disagree and find the negative in that idea, which is not that bad of an idea. Maybe i'm blazin' too much, hhahaha!!

We need a programable micro chip implant. Program it at home, then go walk through a scanner to cast your vote. Then a Laura Croft type eye piece that shows the vote so you can verify that the scanner wasn't rigged. All of this, of course, comes after the bar code tatoos on the back of the neck are done for personal ID. Foil hats will not be allowed at the voting stations.
