I am sure I know this but I can't recall off hand why the world series of college baseball is played in flippin Omaha, Nebraska? Who lives near there? What a hardship for families to have to travel there for 3 weeks to see the elmination rounds and then go back for the series.
Can someone clue me in?

LILLY WHO?

I'm watching the Astros. It's 3-1 at the bottom of the 4th. Lilly almost kills Carlos Lee and then Edmonds catches a high flyer in outfield. And I'm thinking, who is this Lilly? He looks like a 95 pound shrimp? Anybody?? He's so small to pitch so hard and fast.
Friends invited me over to watch the big game Sunday and I was kind of cool to the idea cause I'm not a huge fan of either team but then I started thinking about the winning streak of the Patriots and I thought hell yea, I'm going to watch.
Just wondering if anyone out there is NOT going to watch the game and if so why not? Post your response and I could read excerpts of your post Monday morning during my live webchat from the news room.
Have a great weekend...........GO Patriots!!!!!!!!

Brian McNamee came off as a desperate man, a desperate man who apparently will say or do anything for a buck!!! He is a sad soul who needs a Roger Clemens and Andy Petite as father figures in his life. People like that can and should never be trusted!
Yes, folks I will be hosting a live web chat at 12:30 today for about an hour. No questions go unanswered from me later today. Blog all your buds and let's get into it starting at 12:30 today right here at myfox...................
OPENING DAY AT MINUTE MAID

Alright baseball fans,
The day we have been waiting for since last year's world series is at hand. Monday is opening day at Minute Maid Park? Woo-Hoo, go Astros. Now I am not a sports reporter by any stretch of the imagination. My old friend from KTRH days John O'Reailly said you have to " speak sports to report sports." I unfortuanetly don't speak sports. I don't speak a lot of things for that matter but I do know what I like.
So here's the deal. I am live Monday morning at Minute Maid Park and I'm wondering what your thoughts are going into the new season. I can tell you some of mine:
How does Biggio do it year after year? Really , how does the man keep it up? He still looks like he did years ago when he first stepped out into the Astrodome.
No worries about Brandon Backe since I saw him at spring training but how " ready " is he?
How does Morgan Ensberg reamin such a powerful clutch hitter season after season.? Everytime we are down to the wire, he steps up, and quite unassumingly knocks one out of the ball park. What kind of concentration do you have to have to make that happen? Plus I hear he's a real cut up with the team. Funny he looks so calm and unfunny!
Who picks the great music the players walk up to bat to? That stuff is great. Where do they get their selection from? That always gets the crowd going?
And speaking of music, somebody up in the broadcast booth has a huge selection of tunes to jam to. The crowd is never too shy to get a groove on.
Any-hoo.....I could go on and on, but please share your thoughts for opening day with me and I will try and incorporate your thoughts into the live interviews I have set up for Monday. .
Also, check out Dean and Rog on 93.7 the Arrow and blog down their topics Monday morning. They always have great guests from the Astros on.
Oh, and one final question....Milo Hamilton, sweater or jacket opening night?
texans vs bills

I couldn't believe it. I was tuning in and out of the Texan v. Bill's game when the last fifteen seconds were on the clock. I was upstairs and my family was downstairs and not watching the game. I yelled out, " Texans are about to win, " when boom...........Bills catch the ball just inside the inzone and the score shot to 23-21. My family downstairs yelled back up and said..." thanks for jinxing the game dad," and flipped the game back off.
I should have kept my mouth shut. I will next time.
