NOW-that I have your attention LOL!  I was wondering how many of you suffer from migraine headaches and how often do you get them??

I suffer from migraines and seem to be getting them atleast 2 to 4 times a month, which is more than usual.  I HATE taking the prescription meds because they make me soooooooooo drowsy.  I WILL take them-if the migraine is unbearable-but if it's a weekday then I have to take another medication-like an over the counter one.  They physician I work for takes a "Sams Choice" Migraine Formula-which works for me sometimes--but the relief doesn't last all day and I find myself having to take 4 to 6 of them in a day.  Most over the counter meds have caffeine in them-which I find strange because they tell you to stay away from caffeine if you suffer from migraines. 

What do you do for your migraines--other than taking prescription meds?  Are your migraines so debilitating that you are unable to function at your job?  Do you feel there is anything you eat or drink that causes an onset of your headache?  Does your headache also cause you to be nauseated?  What other signs/symptoms occur with your headaches??

Common symptoms of migraine include:

• Throbbing or pulsating headache on one side of your head.
• Moderate to severe headache intensity.
• Your headache getting worse with routine physical activity.
• Nausea, vomiting, or both.
• Sensitivity to light and noise, and sometimes smells.

I think this little poem just about sums it all up-don't you?  I especially like the last part--I've highlighted it.  Being a Christian doesn't mean you are above anyone else-or better than anyone else-or HOLIER than others!  Some people who profess to be Christians seem to have a "holier than thou" attitude, which isn't the way God intended it to be!!  It breaks my heart to see others act in that manner.  Please, take a moment to read this-it's awesome!!

I've noticed alot of new cars with the paper tags lately, and they seem to be the more gas "efficient" vehicles!  Thankfully, mine is about 5yrs. old and is very good on gas!!  Ken, however, has a land "yacht" that is a gas guzzler!!

Will you be buying a more efficient vehicle?? If so, which one?  What is the MOST efficient vehicle?

I actually try to read ALL of them LOL—not always on the same day I receive the emails, but I do eventually get around to reading them. If YOU take the time to send an email to me, then it must be something AWESOME you want me to read!! There are some people who send emails to me-and I KNOW I'm going to get a great LAUGH when I open it-some always send the “kleenex” emails—and I'm usually prepared for those too LOL!

I know of some people who just hit the “delete” key all the way down on most of their emails, not even taking the time to read them—which is very, very sad. If someone thinks enough of you to send an email to you—why not take the time to read it???

I was looking at the pics on the main page and most of them have been there a VERY long time.  I think it's time to put some new pics up!!  I've scanned through the pics and there are some really cute and appropriate ones for each category!!  How 'bout it Fox??

Okay-let's see if I can make this long story short LOL! 

A few weeks ago, my grandson came home from school and called me telling me that our whole neighborhood had received some kind of plastic containers from Bayer.  He said he'd leave it on the front porch for me.  I thought to myself-"Why would they leave something FREE?"

I got home and sure enough-there was a nice blue plastic storage container on my porch.  Inside the nice container was a note from the City of Baytown encouraging us to "recycle" and leave the blue container out on the curb on garbage day LOL!  I told Ken that I was using this little box to store some old toys in LOL!

Well-Ken called the City of Baytown inquiring about these containers etc.  He was told that whether we recycle or not, an add'l $2.50 per month is being added onto our water bill!!  We were both SHOCKED LOL!  So basically, this cute little blue storage box is costing us a small fortune to "rent" LOL!  Goes to show that you really don't get "something for nothing" nowadays do ya??

Has this happened in any other cities??  If so, what are YOUR charges??

Wow!  I was so SHOCKED this morning when I heard of the untimely passing of Dottie Rambo-who is a legend in country and gospel music today!!  She wrote soooooooooo many songs that were recorded by top artist and Dottie herself sang her own songs as well as recorded them.  She will be missed--but is in a better place!!

Joyce "Dottie" Rambo, an influential gospel singer and songwriter, died early Sunday when her tour bus ran off the highway and struck an embankment. She was 74.

It was unclear whether the crash was related to the severe storms and tornadoes that hit the region on Saturday. Storms also swept through the area later in the night, according to the National Weather Service.

Rambo, of Nashville, Tenn., was on her way to a Mother's Day performance in Texas, according to her Web site.

"She was a giant in the gospel music industry," said Beckie Simmons, Rambo's agent. "Dolly Parton recorded some of her songs."

Rambo has had more than 2,500 published songs, including gospel classics such as "He Looked Beyond My Fault and Saw My Need" and the 1982 Gospel Music Association Song of the Year, "We Shall Behold Him."

Most of you don't know, but I come from an abusive (both sexual and physical) homelife.  My mom and step dad were alcoholics and he constantly beat my mother, my sister and myself.  He sexually abused my sister and I-and our mother was aware of this.  If it weren't for my mother and father in law and my WONDERFUL husband I can't imagine what my life would be like now!!  My mother in law loved me unconditionally-still does!  She taught me how to raise a child the right way--I thought the way to discipline a child was to slap them across the face and scream and yell at them-because that is the way I was raised. 

So MOM-I thought it was only fitting to tell you how much I LOVE and appreciate everything you have done for me!!  I thank you sooooo much for your loving kindness and guidance throughout the years--and I know I haven't been an easy "child" to raise LOL!

Yeah-you got it!! It's my youngest grandson-the NEXT pro golfer in our family LOL!  My son was the state champ for 2yrs. in High School--is Drake next??  I think sooooooo!!!!  Sorry-just HAD to share these with yawl!!

Hey Matt-I can't find you email addy LOL!  You just said on the news that the AGGIES lost in Basketball tonight-they WON!!  The score was 67 to 62-just had to send you a correction on this!!!  GIG 'EM!!!

I haven't watched American Idol much this year-mainly because the talent is not quite up to par AND I can not tolerate Amanda Overmyer!!  I was elated tonight when she got eliminated!!  Atlast, if I choose to watch A.I.-I won't have to leave the room to avoid hearing her horrible voice!!  She really messed up last night talking about selling tickets etc.  Sometimes the contestants get a tad bit "big headed" and before you know it-they're gone!!!!  Carly needed a dose of reality too-and she got it by being in the bottom 3!!  Hmmmmmmmm-who is the winner going to be????

Has anyone noticed Jose's spiffy new suits this week?  They are very "Spring time" looking-very dapper!! It's very refreshing to see a man who is not afraid of change-and for getting away from the darker suits!!  Way to go Jose-maybe you'll be a "trendsetter" for other anchors????
