New Year's Resolutions

Eat Less... Blog More

Okay so I have to admit that I've never been one to make good on my New Year's Resolutions but I'm trying.  On this last day of the first month of the new year I'm going to try and be a little more consistent and blog more. 

I've actually enjoyed my first Winter here.  It wasn't even close to what I was expecting.  I thought it would be much worse but I knew it would be fine after the first snow when I realized how many salt trucks are clearing the roads quickly and efficiently.  As long as you can drive in this stuff, it's really not that bad.  Yes, it's cold and to me whether it's 5 below or 35...it's still frigid (but only if you spend a lot of time outside).  Barz told me he thought we had more snow this year than he can ever remember.  What do you think?  Have the Winters here gotten worse?

i m pretty strict with my new years resolutions. oh and about winter... its snowed so much over here and there is no one out there cleaning the roads... its a mess out there and driving was horrible!!!

It hasn't been that cold here in Houston; although, we've had some days that were or close to 30 degrees; but nothing below.

I've been pretty fortunate to keep up with my New Year's Resolution...losing weight AND completing at least one work per day [trying to make a record 365 works of art by the end of the year :ppp]

I've missed you so keep in touch :))

Girl I stopped making resolutions when they started turning into resoLIES! hahahaha
I hope you do better than I have in the past. You know your sister in Christ still has your back for life!

Hi Jan and members. First post here.

Resolutions: Eat better, work less, drink less, read more. So far so good. I need some book suggestions. What are you currently reading, Jan? Anyone else? I'm into biographies right now, but I welcome all suggestions.

If you can honestly say you're enjoying this first winter then you're a pretty tough gal. We've had worse winters for sure, but this one's given us heavy doses of cold spells and snow falls.

I've been here my whole life and I still haven't gotten used to the winters. The cold itself isn't bad, it's the wind that comes with it. The snow doesn't bother me, I kind of dig it actually.

Hey Jan,

Resolutions are nothing but a mere lie to yourself and to others. If resolutions really worked I would have a job and the damn illegal immigrants would be deported back to where they came from.

As for the winter here, this is nothing compared to the blizzard of '78 or '79. That one was a mess. The sub zero weather we have had this year is the worst so far, I already had my sewer pipe freeze and break under my house causing my crawl space to flood and knock out my furnace for about 4 days. So keep yourself bundled up.

I wonder if we will ever see summer again.

Hi Everybody! Okay so we're in for another hit tonight!!! Get out those snow shovels. I have to admit that it's getting a little old now. I agree with Mrcrab..when will we ever see summer again? And thank goodness I live just a few miles from work. There's no way I would feel comfortable plowing my way down some of the streets in the burbs. And I don't own a snowblower (yet). At least my Scrappy likes it. He enjoys running in the snow since this is his first encounter with it.

i'm back, the winters here have been worse but u know global warming been havin chicago look under the suspicious act, so the streetz been easier than normal, especially in the windy city, and oh yeah when recieve this message would u help out with the snowblower mrz lazy, get at me.
