GUSTAV IS VERY SCARY IN PERSON!

I'M STUCK AND HIDING IN FRONT OF A BANK!




I'm sitting in my car virtually trapped by a storm called Gustav. I'm in Plaquemine, Louisiana where I found my self stuck because the winds are way to strong to travel in. I can feel my heavy duty Navigator vibrating...that's after I parked on the lawn of this bank. It's blocking these winds that won't seem to ever stop. I guess I'll be here a while. As that wind passes both ends of the building it looks like gray smoke. It's actually a mixture of rain and wind. And if you haven't heard wind howling then you don't want to. After a while it becomes extremely irritating and unnerving. It reminds you of the deadly punch mother nature packs. So if you're watching news in Houston and the weatherman says it's weaker than we thought...Just think about me cowering in my car waiting for Gustav to pass!

Isiah,I once thought you to be somewhat smart,considering where you are from,BUT you have let me down.Being from Baton Rouge as you are WHY would you be so dumd as to go to PLAQUEMINE Parish{the arm pit of La.}?You know those red-neck cops in there even hate each other{LOL,LOL}.Now get smart again and get out of that Parish.

We will keep all of you remote crews in our prayers.Stay safe and next time take an A.P.C. rather than a Navigator,they do better in storms like this{LOL}.

I wasn't in Plaquemine Parish...I was in the city of Plaquemine...only a couple of miles from Baton Rouge. They are two different palces. I know it can be confusing...

The heck with that! My family & I would have been one of the first ones out of there. I'm not the one to take life or death chances. I bet it was a horrifying experience for you! I'm glad your safe... Welcome back home!
