For many years now, we have all heard the evils of Hillary Clinton and between 40-45% of all Americans have said no matter what, they will NEVER vote for Hillary.  Now, I will preface this by saying, that I'm still supporting Barack Obama for President.  However, if the election plays out as everyone has suggested, Hillary will be the Democratic Nominee.  And, I more than likely will be supporting her for the Presidency.  I want to know from those 40-45% some concrete reasons why there is no way you would ever support her campaign and nomination.  I want REAL reasons, not opinion or your belief.  I just want to know what the real reason is that some of these people are so determined that she could be the worst thing for this country.  If you're worried about the "Liberal" tag, you need to check out this article...

Hillary is probably as middle-of-the-road as any Democrat running for President.  And, much to my chagrin, she has probably given more support to this President and "His" War than anyone else on the Left.  Not to mention, ever since her attempt to Nationalize Healthcare, she is now #2 on the contributions from Healthcare PAC's, which means she gets the second highest amount of contributions for her Political Campaigns from the Healthcare industry, among people in Congress... Democrat or Republican.  Not to mention, she accepts more contributions from big business than any other Democrat running.  Now sure she is Pro-Choice/Abortion Rights, but that's where she gets most of her "Liberal" voting scores from.  In looking at the Democrats, Hillary is possibly the most moderate out of the pack.

So, I just want to know what is the real deal with the "Hillary Hatred?"  And, like I said, I'm looking for facts to back up opinion, not what you think might happen, if she gets elected, because no one knows.  After all, Bush was a decent Governor of Texas.  However, his Presidency will go down as being one of the worst in American History.

Um... she's a socialist, thats why.

Vote Ron Paul. He's a conservative, and not a war monger. He values the constitution over popular politics.

My vote will depend on who the third-party ticket will be from Unity08.com

If Ron Paul got the Republican nomination, I would actually vote for him. Hey Ron Paul fans, I have a crazy story/picture for you coming up that you are going to be really excited about. Waiting for the person to send me the pictures.

If however, anybody else on the Republican side gets the nomination and Hillary is the Democratic candidate and I don't like the Unity08 ticket, then I'll vote for Hillary.

I actually registered as a Republican, something I thought I'd NEVER do, to vote for Ron Paul in the primaries.

After watching another candidate though, I wouldn't be tooooo horrified if Huckabee got the ticket, if neither do, I will have lost most hope for the US as a responsible and respectable nation.

I won't vote for a candidate who doesn't believe in evolution. Yes, I am a Christian who believes in evolution. The Catholic Church position, regarding human evolution, the Church allows for the possibility that man's BODY developed from previous biological forms, under God's guidance, but it insists on the special creation of his SOUL. Pope Pius XII declared that "the teaching authority of The Church does not forbid that, in conformity with the present state of human sciences and sacred theology, research and discussions...take place with regard to the doctrine of evolution, in as far as it inquires into the origin of the human body as coming from pre-existent and living matter, but the Catholic faith obliges us to hold that souls are immediately created by God. So whether the human body was specifically created or developed, we are required to hold as a matter of Catholic faith that the human soul is specially created; it did not evolve, and it is not inherited from our parents as our bodies are.

Hillary is not a "Socialist". She is a Democrat. If you read the link, you will realize that she has more capitalistic tendencies than most of the other Democrats running for President. Her one shot at a Socialistic Plan of Healthcare nationalization failed, when she was First Lady. Her current Healthcare plan is nothing like the first one she proposed, which is the same plan that Dennis Kucinich is proposing, which is a Single-Payer National Healthcare system, in which the Government pays 100% of the bill, via tax dollars.

I like Ron Paul's anti-war stance. But, part of the problem with America now, is that Big Business has run-a-muck, because of deregulation of so many industries... Oil and Gas, Communications, Airlines... less competition has made for higher prices for consumers and less choices. Collusion, which they say is illegal, is going on, because the Government has no oversight or limited oversight in many areas. A lot of Ron Paul's agenda would even further eliminate the oversight and many Government programs that are needed. So, while I like his passion and his Anti-War sentiment, his other views scare me. There will be no middle class whatsoever, if he gets elected.

Government oversight is what keeps campaign donating Oil Companies, Energy companies, and other such monsters in collusion. Without regulation, competition happens naturally. With regulation, each company strives to stay just within the rules of law, on the brink of beating it. Innovation has no place in that system.

And Ron Paul is not your every candidate millionaire. He's a Doctor from Brazoria. Hardly more than Middle Class himself.

But better to fuel another Clinton on to power. I mean thats what we need, 20 years of the same two families at the head our of our country. If nothing changes, then nothing changes.

You said Hillary is "middle-of-the-road". That's because she's trying to appeal to everyone right now. I think she would try to run the country the same way. Everyone may not like George W but they cannot say he changes his position on things daily. I'm not a big George fan but he sticks by what he believes is right. One thing I do like about Hillary - she is all for children and taking care of our kids.

Yellowrose,

I agree...Hillary is indeed looking out for children...but at what cost? I think that the children can be well represented and cared for without some of the programs and ideas that Hillary has in mind. Don't get me wrong...I have three children and I can see what she is trying to do but the way she is doing it is going to cost us all so very much in the end.

We have had 8 years of Clinton and almost 8 years of Bush in the White House. I say no more! We need fresh ideas and a fresh face. I can't handle any more Clinton scandals or Bush bashing. America deserves better!
