I know when you use the phrase enjoyable Hospital stay, it is kind of oxymoronic.  However, Friday morning I found myself having to go to the hospital and I decided to try the new North Cypress Medical Center at 290 and Huffmeister.  The facility is immaculate.  All the rooms are private, they have comfortable beds, flat screen TV's with about 25 channels.  The menu is incredible, although at the end of the day, it's still hospital food.  But, you get a decent amount of choices.  And, the staff is top notch and very friendly.  And, unlike the last hospital I went to, they seem to care most about getting you healthy than the almighty dollar.  So, if you live on the west side and need to go to the hospital, I highly recommend North Cypress.

I'm sorry you had to go to the hospital, I hope that you are feeling better.
We live on the West Side and, unfortunately, I have to go to the hospital a lot. I didn't know that this place even existed, thanks for the info!
Question: Did your doctor spend much time? Were you able to get questions to him and get a quick response thru your nurses? (It seems like every time I'm in the hospital I have to "wait til the doctor is in" which is like 7am, and if I'm asleep I miss them, and when I do get them I'm trying to fumble for my list of questions I've jotted down!) (I like to be aware of my diagnosis/prognosis, etc. so I can take care of myself better after I've left the hospital.)

I think just about any hospital, playing the waiting game with the Doctor is pretty much a given. I'm sure it drives the nurses crazy, too. However, when the nurses said that the Doctors were going to be there, they were. And, the Doctors stayed awhile and explain everything in great detail and answered all my questions. They didn't seem to be in a hurry to leave. And, I had three people there to take care of my needs at all time.

Yeah, it's a new facility. I was excited when they built it, because I've had my fair share of problems with another certain westside hospital on FM 1960.

They want new business. Customer service will get people in. Once they are overflowing with customers, they will go the way all other hospitals do-- understaffed and overworked. You might want to find out who does their medical records. If they outsource it overseas, that company will not have to comply with HIPAA. And your medical information may be collected overseas and sold back to parties in the US, all perfectly legally.
