I dont want to offend anyone, but I recieved this in an email.  Once opened and read, I couldn't help but thank the person who sent it to me.......

'Twas a month before Christmas
When all through our land,
Not a Christian was praying
Nor taking a stand.

Why the PC Police
had taken away,
The reason for Christmas -
no one could say.

The children were told
by their schools not to sing,
About Shepherds and Wise Men
and Angels and things.

It might hurt people's feelings,
the teachers would say
December 25th
is just a ' Holiday '.

Yet the shoppers were ready
with cash, checks and credit
Pushing folks down
to the floor just to get it!

CDs from Madonna,
an X BOX, an I-pod
Something was changing,
something quite odd!

Retailers promoted
Ramadan and Kwanzaa
In hopes to sell books by
Franken & Fonda.

As Targets were hanging
their trees upside down
At Lowe's the word Chri stmas -
was no where to be found.

At K-Mart and Staples
and Penny's and Sears
You won't hear the word Christmas;
it won't touch your ears.

Inclusive, sensitive,
Di-ver-si-ty
Are words that were used
to intimidate me.

Now Daschle, Now Darden,
Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen
On Boxer, on Rather,
on Kerry, on Clinton !

At the top of the Senate,
there arose such a clatter
To eliminate Jesus,
in all public matter.

And we spoke not a word,
as they took away our faith
Forbidden to speak
of salvation and grace.

The true Gift of Christmas
was exchanged and discarded
The reason for the season,
stopped before it started.

So as you celebrate 'Winter Break'
under your 'Dream Tree'
Sipping your Starbucks,
listen to me.

Choose your words carefully,
choose what you say
Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS...!!!!
not Happy Holiday!

I thought about this while I was reading something that mik1of3 had written.  She was talking about how some people do not remove their hats when the National Anthem is being played.  It is so dis-respectful.  Anyways, my question is what happened to the respect for someone who has passed away?  When my grandfather passes away, we were in Tyler, Texas and everyone there was so curtious.  They would pull over on the side of the road and remove their hats.  However, the last funeral I went to.  We were all in the "convoy" where everyone follows the casket to the buriel site.  There were people trying to cut us off so they didnt have to wait.  There were people speeding in and out of traffic, What ever happened to the respect?????

I know everyone will disagree with me, but I have to voice this.  I am a very PROUD owner of a Staffordshire Terrior (Pit Bull).  And I say that strongly, PROUD OWNER.  This is not my first to own, nor my last.  Even though I agree that pits are very aggressive dogs, I disagree with how everyone treats them.  For instance, my "Oreo" is very well trained, also she is my 18 month old sons best friend.  I know everyone is saying how crazy I am, but I trust her completely to be around him.  They have been raised together so far.  Anyways, I agree totally with the new dog laws.  I believe that it is the owners responsability.  IT IS ALL IN HOW THEY ARE RAISED.  Any dog can be aggressive, heck my aunt had a pomeranian that would tear your arms and legs off if you got too close to her (my aunt).  It is sad that these animals are classified the way they are.  Anyone who owns a pitt understands where I am coming from.  I just want to say that they are all not horrible.  They are good companions and very smart dogs, but from the beginning you have to show them whos boss.  Thanks Houston, just had to say something.  By the way we do feel for the ones who have been attacked, whether it be a pitt bull or a rat terrior.

I received this in an email one day , after I finished reading it I felt like a light bulb had gone off some where.  This story makes perfect since but it makes you wonder ...Do you think the world would be a better place if more people felt the same way?

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the
country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.
They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be
considered a very poor family.

On the return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the
trip?"

"It was great, Dad."

"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked.

"Oh yeah," said the son.

"So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father. The son
answered: "I saw that we have one dog and they had four.

We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a
creek that has no end.

We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.

Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We
have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond
our sight.

We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.

We buy our food, but they grow theirs.

We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to
protect them."

The boy's father was speechless. Then his son added, "Thanks, Dad, for
showing me how poor we are."

Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if
we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what
we don't have.

Appreciate every single thing you have, especially your friends and
family!

"Life is too short and friends are too few"

What do you think?

I just want to add to everyones great blogs about this poor, helpless lttle girl...  What kind of mother would put a toddler in a situation where her heart could stop any minute.  I feel so sorry for this little girl whos going to probably grow up one day and watch this "home video".  I hope that every one in Houston and Jackson County are keeping their eyes and ears open, so that hopefully soon we can get justice for the girl.  This story is so sickening.  As for everyone who was involved, I hope that we find you and you are prosecuted to the fullest extent.....  It is a shame that we have people all over the world who would love to take this little girl and give her a loving, caring home and she is somewhere out there with these jerks!!!!!!!
