Cookie watched Bill O'Reilly last night, as He arrogantly addressed the immigration issue!

He said that "We can handle the 12-15 million illegal immigrants who are here, but that allowing their "families" which would total 40-50 million is unacceptable"!

????

Cookie cannot understand this "logic"--

First of all, we have a country with laws--

We have rules governing admission--

If you lie, cheat, enter illegally, you are WRONG!!

If someone steals money, & gives a portion to charity, says they "were just playing Robin Hood"--THAT--makes NO difference--

You broke the law!!!!

Just because you have 12-15 million criminals here, & CANNOT figure a way to get them out--does NOT justify making them citizens!!!!!

Geez--(We have ALL this intelligence in this country, & look what we get for legislators & talk show hosts!)

Cookie appreciates your comments--

A couple of years age there were rumors going around about impending immigration raids and as a result many in the Latin communities didn’t go to work and kept their kids from school. That showed everyone just how easy it is to disrupt the lives of Illegals. If a rumor can cause so much turmoil in the illegal alien communities then think just how much we can make their lives miserable with real raids. They will surely leave on their own or atleast it would discourage others from coming. The problem is that our government is unwilling to do that or anything close.

How do you incorporate prohibition into your logic. Or any other law that becomes unworkable for that matter? Laws should never ever ever be used as an argument for anything because the law itself is a product of a human choice which can be changed. Do you ever speed, use recreational drugs, drink when you were underage. You see, laws are not the basis for moral codes and will never decide what is "right and wrong"

PROHIBITION WAS A LAW BANNING ALCHOHOL, NOT UNSKILLED ILLEGALS, RICHEE. THE "RIGHT" THING TO DO IS SEND ALL FREELOADING TRESPASSERS BACK TO MEXICRAP. YOU SEE, THE ULTIMATE LAW IS SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST. SO PLEASE POP YOUR CABESA OUT OF YOUR CULO, AND READ A BOOK ABOUT 7TH GRADE CIVICS AND YOU WILL LEARN ELEMENTARY U.S. LAW, WHICH OUTLAWS ILLEGALS SNEAKING INTO THE UNITED STATES, THE COUNTRY FOR AMERICAN CITIZENS.

Very GOOD comments!
Cookie LOVES u all! (cept Rich, who tries that B.S. about ""law"!
CITIZENS MAKE LAWS!!!!
If you are NOT a citizen, you have NO say--
(& THAT goes for most, since they are 99% born of illegal parentage!!!)

jprjpvrk & Quannel got good heads--
PROUD to read their posts!

jprjpvrk--I TOTALLY agree--that if we made some raids, half would haul as- back--but even most citizens think "that is inappropiate & cruel!"--????
I bet if they were inviting themselves to THEIR "personal party" they would scream bloody murder!

O'Reilly's Ego is way too big these days. I liked him when he first started the show, but ever since he reached #1 in the cable ratings, he's been an egomaniac, rude, and boorish. Unless you agree with him 100%, he doesn't show any respect for your viewpoint.

I agree totally, imatreat---
I DON'T watch him--can't stand him--but as I turned channels, I caught this little spiel.

I think it "funny" how some (supposedly) intelligent americans wiggle around a issue.
Most people feel ONE way or the other--
You should state, & be firm in your convictions.
You should not be rude, but not BLEEP-foot around the issue either!
This immigration issue is NOT difficult!!!
We have "LAWS" we CAN enforce--
We "should" amend the ones we have like the "born baby issue",
Overhaul the social system, & when they can't GET everything free--most will leave--
Post a BOUNTY for illegals, have buses leaving daily,
& tell their lawyers to ""take a hike"--
We could use more ICE agents, creating employment--
This is NOT being rude, racist, or unchristian-
It is JUST THE LAW!
As a nation of concerned citizens, WE have the RIGHT to decide who stays & who goes, Cookie thinks!!

Whether it is law banning alcohol or illegals. It doesn't matter in the least. If the law doesn't the fit the times, the needs, or the will of society at large, it is doomed to fail. You are just an emotionally charged old-school "patriot" rallying behind outdated conservative ideals, which do not address the true issues of our society. Until you realize that your government has a large role in making it mexicrap, and stop your prejudiced, closed-minded ways, you will not fully comprehend what is really going on. You say these people are garbage, well lets go with that analogy. Garbage is a byproduct of human actions, resulting in waste. The more efficient you are the less garbage you produce. Now, understand that everyone comes into this world equally capable of being a reliable, productive member of society. It is despondent conditions that result in the breakdown of these social norms, it is tremendous stress placed on the mind that has the tendency of producing this so-called garbage, it is YOUR attitude YOUR actions and YOUR resounding thickheaded arrogance that are producing "garbage."
I don't see how you differentiate the nature of the two laws. They are both impractical and flawed, evidenced only by the reality of the world. These people contribute vast amounts of their energy into YOUR economy, as a result of YOUR government's imposed policies by way of the World Bank and IMF.
Right, citizens have the power to make and revoke laws, it happens all the time. The time has come to review our laws regarding immigration, because they are OBVIOUSLY unworkable. But thi

But this won't happen to the degree it must to truly be resolved because it would reveal deep-seeded evils in US foreign policy. But you will ignore all these truths and continue your inane "patriotic" banter.

The cookie monster-- is a person in the twilight of my career, who believes in speaking the truth, as I see it, regardless of the consequences. It is not the "best thing sometimes" to do, but only in addressing problems, can we change them! I have lived in multiple societies, played every game, and been a success in almost every venture I have entered. I've endured many trials, which gives me a unique ability to have an intelligent opinion on diverse subjects. I am cautious of schemes developed by others. I am not perfect, or judgemental. I do NOT want to appear to be a "Know-it all" I am a devout Christian who early in life developed a "path with God", have stayed on the same path and devotion throughout my life. I don't blog for popularity. I blog in hopes "I" can learn something--in hopes I can help someone else--& address the serious side of life.
