Do you and your parents, spouse, brother/sister vote the same way?  Did the way you vote cause any rifts?

In this election season, more than ever, I think Democratic voters are split along generational lines.  We see the parents and grandparents voting for Clinton, while the newer voters are choosing Obama.

Thoughts?

Heck no we don't vote the same way. I consider myself an independent and Jeff used to vote straight-party Republican ticket until the Republican party left him. He wants to vote for Obama. I'm behind Obama (not initially--I wasn't real sure who I wanted). My sister in NJ thinks of herself as a Republican but doesn't vote. My other sister votes Democrats. Jeff's family are split as well.

It makes for very LIVELY conversation around here.

Oh, no. My dad is yellow dog Democrat. My mom is like me, an Independent, only she's a lot more left of center than I am.
My sisters vote the way my dad does, although my middle sister, Kim, is more independent than Jill, the youngest one. (She says since ignorance is bliss, she'll just stay blissful, thank you very much.) Kim, however, can debate. Jill just says, "Whatever Daddy says!"
I was a yellow dog Democrat for the longest time, mainly because of social issues like gay rights and abortion. But I started moving more and more to the right in regards to welfare cheats, and then with the illegal immigration debacle-it's amazing what sitting in an ER for six hours with a child who is in violent abdominal pain while all these other people with sniffles, a headache, a stubbed toe, a skinned knee go first will do to change your attitude, and when the day without a Mexican came around and all those well, never mind, were running around waving their Mexican flags and actually raising it over OUR flag, well..that was it for me. Add that to the bad taste the attitudes, demands and expectations of the Katrina refugees left in my mouth and yeah, I got a little more conservative.
So I vote for some Dems, some GOP, which infuriates my dad. He says my bosses have brainwashed me. I say no, you raised me to think for myself, and you're just mad because I don't think like you do.
So yeah, it gets kind of rowdy at our house.
