Will the Scorpion Press Sting Obama?

The Clinton Campaign accuses the press of trashing Hillary while giving Barack Obama a free ride.   "Saturday Night Live" even produced a skit about the perceived favoritism shown Obama.  The press loves Obama, the Clintonites contend, and aren't holding him accountable.

The media lovers of the Illinois senator, however, are about to turn into scorpions, stinging Obama at every turn, even when it hurts the candidate they not-so-secretly support.  That's the prediction of Susan Estrich, a former top Democratic Party activist who now teaches law and writes a column in Southern California.  Estrich, a Clinton supporter,  writes the press won't be able to help itself when it starts knocking Obama off the political pedestal. 

Of course, the media loves to build up heroes, only to eventually cut them off at the knees.  That's the nature of the media beast.  Is the beast about to tear into Obama's character, background, and voting record?  Estrich predicts it will happen.... soon.   Do you agree or do you think the media has treated Obama and Clinton equally?

I doubt that. Like I said, the media will elect Obama, not the American public. What a shame. Our politics are as shameful as 3rd world countries.

I think that the media has been a little unfair to Hillary, but like a hungry dog, they're gonna grab the juiciest, tastiest morsel and run with it.

A young, charismatic, handsome, charming BLACK man versus an older white woman who's been in the news since 1992? Come on, what a no-brainer. Fresh face versus old and tired. Which one do you think would get more air time?

Everyone is trashing the other. It is great gossip. I have heard very little about the "loan" from some outside entity to bankroll his dwindling coffers. The Reps are so busy funding Obama's bank so he can get rid of the hated Hillary that they have let him get himself into some kind of trouble, but, that is ok because Reps can do anything and just like greasy ducks "stuff" just roll of their backsides.
