What ever happened to raising our little girls like ladies?  People have taken the movement of feminism to extreme lengths,  now our little girls are dressing like sluts at the age of 13 and fighting like boys in the schoolyard, this is unacceptable!!  Being a lady does NOT mean one has to stay at home, have a dozen kids, and never dream of speaking her mind.   A strong, successful woman is even stronger when she retains the ability to act like a lady.  We are turning our babies into an overly aggressive herd of little hookers.

For some reason feminism has changed. It's become more about being free to do whatever you want whenever you want rather than achieving success and getting respect.

Why limit this to girls? What happened to raising boys as gentlemen? Boys are dressing like thugs, tripping over their pants due to the fact they are wearing them low enough to show what God gave them. As far as fighting in school yards, neither girls or boys need to be fighting in the school yard.

Overly aggressive? Do you tell your son it's bad to be aggressive? Do you tell him just to sit back and be a good little boy and don't reach for the stars?

Of course there is a time and place for everything. Being a lady or gentleman should be first and foremost in most areas of life, but if we never taught our girls that yes, they can be just as tough as the boys, then where would they be as law officers, as members of the armed service, as ceo's?

If attention had been paid to my profile and blog you would notice, Aponi, that I do not have any boys. That said, boys will be boys, always have been, ladies do not and should not act this way, it is in the nature of males to be aggressive. Aggressivness is not limited to schoolyard fights, you are hearing what you want to hear. Being aggressive when it comes to success is what the feminest movement stands for and should be pursued to the fullest extent. My point was that girls these days are not concerned with how a lady is suppossed to act. Girls Gone Wild is a perfect example of how society shows young women the only way they can get attention is by showing their tata's to a pervert with a camera. Basically, what your response tells me is girls should act the same as boys and this is the problem. In case you haven't noticed, there is a difference between physical and intelectual aggressiveness, the latter being the more difficult to achieve. Does one really have to abandon their self respect to achieve anything in this world, my answer is NO!!!

Here and Now, I have two girls, one boy, all grown. I have 4 grandsons, one grand daughter and one more grandson on the way. I've never subscribed to the boys will be boys idea. That's how some of these sexual harassment cases get swept under the rug...after all...boys will be boys.

Agressiveness, whether it be mental, emotional, or physical is not a trait uniquely male.

My daughters were raised to be a lady when the situation was called for and no holds barred when the situation fit. I happen to have a daughter who served in the army. I sincerely doubt they were looking for someone that would cry when she broke a fingernail, or who could not be counted on to protect her men/women when the going got tough.

All I was trying to say that was this is not a one way street. I raised my son to be a gentleman, and trust me there are very few of those left today.

By the way, both my daughters and my son are doing very well, raising fine families, and working in the communities in which they live to make this world a better place to live.

Im not looking for anyone to cry for my girls when they break a finger nail. Im looking for girls these days to earn respect with their intellect and demeaner instead of trying to gain attention with acts of unacceptable sexual devience.

Hereandnow, you express a genuine sentiment that has been taken out of proportion by other bloggers. I understand how you feel. Though I have no daughters (yet), I teach middle school girls who dress and act like they are being pimped. It's sad...but the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. Mom (in many cases) is just as bad.

I have to agree with you there Pha147. Working in the apartment industry...I deal with a lot of families and what Pha147 says is true.

Many of the young girls who dress this way have mothers who do the same. After all...the mother is the role model.

Girls and boys these days have become so desesitized to sex by those who bribg their sexuality out in the open for everone to see, we wont mention Randy's name, that they now think its okay to have boobies and booties hanging out fot the world to see. They are taught by modern media that this is somehow progressive, and that being pretty, and easy, somehow helps you to be successful.
