The Horn incident brought up a thought  that concerns me---

With the mass influx of illegal immigration, the mass population propogation by the lower class through unplanned parenthood, & the "GREAT AMERICAN RIPOFF" (as I refer to it)  by the Bush administration & the oil companies, our economy is suffering tremendously.

Hoardes of "citizens?" are resorting to illegal means to suport their lifestyle.

There are more & more cases of burglary, thievery, & conning--

Scavengers are even ripping off public air conditioning units for the metal value!

Citizens have always had the right to protect their property, but as the lower class has more & more to say about legislation, this right is in jeopardy--?

I fear that if this right is recinded, & the problem gets worse, citizens may have 2 choices-

You can shoot a intruder, & be jailed and lose your property to thieves/scavengers & confiscation by the mortgage company/state----

OR--

You can let them continue to take things (& rely on the overworked police dept. who cannot keep up with the overload) & soon you will have NOTHING left--

You LOSE either way!

NOT a "thought we all wish to entertain"---?

Forgive me for utilizing your blog for this, but I must say that, while we need to be aware of the things you spoke of, I find it interesting that the rant never stops. Not just from you but from many.
Folks we all have to come to grips with this one simple fact: we cannot change anyone but ourselves and even then real change is impossible apart from a change of heart.

Society can not solve societies problems.
All of the mammary glands that our government can make available will not solve societies ills.

So? What then?

Do we just give up?

It is not about giving up, so much as it is about not pointing the finger until you have come to grips with your own shortcomings and gone before your Creator with your own failings.

The ground is level at the Cross and that is the starting point for true change.

Anything else is a waste of time.

I agree with you that it is useless to "rant & rave" about (or even bring up) things that we cannot change.
From some of the blogs I read, I wonder if EVERYONE is really aware of what is taking place-
Our LEGISLATORS--sure are not!!

I don't consider the above a "rant & rave"!
I merely pointed out the possibility of a possible occurance!
It could happen--maybe not--??
Perhaps someone reading this will sit on a jury considering this--?
Perhaps "just considering the possibility" could make a difference--??
I won't be here--I will be in (hopefully) a better place--so I could care less--
but protecting this right IS important, I think!
