This blog is in reference to the shootings by property owners of thieves stealing their (or neighbors) property!

We live in a drastically changing country, & NOT all for the better, I fear!

One would think that we would progress, as we have for centuries, with new technology, & experience. I fear that we are regressing in this area.

A president once said something to the effect "If you don't protect your freedom, it will be taken from you"--?

A individual may not be able to control the direction our country travels, but they SHOULD be able to control the small parcel of property that they possess.

It will be a SAD day for people of ALL races IF this control is lost!

For someone to stand up & DEFEND "THIEVES" who prey on innocent citizens while they are away from their home--is DEPLORABLE!!

I commend the people who protected their property--& that of their neighbors--a admirable trait!

It is also sad that we HAVE to allow "protestors"to "picket the individuals" home in protest of this act of heroism!

I assure you--were I to burglarize a home, I would entertain the thought that I may be shot!

If we allow this indictment, we are JUST giving criminals the right to steal when we are gone!

Shame on you Quannel--& the family members who plan this protest!

I agree 110%.

My favorite is the fiancee of one of those losers, boo hooing "he was a great man, a compassionate man, he'd give you the shirt off his back if you needed it." I bet he would, the shoes too..and I bet after he gave you that stuff, SOMEONE else would be running around (or lying on the ground dead) butt naked!
What horrible times we live in, when a man is persecuted by a select group for defending his and his neighbors property.

You are exactly right eblueyez. It high time that NEIGHBORS start being neighbors again. Bind together to LOOK OUT for each other. Most people have at least 3 or 4 close neighbors, next door left or right, across the street and so on. It would be great IF we actually met our neighbors and get to know each other, so that they know me and I know them and the habits of each. And then have an understanding that when I am out of town or at work, and people are taking things from my house, they feel the necessity to take care of me and my property as I would them.
Also the courts and police NEED TO START WAKING UP to the fact that, WE ARE TIRED OF THE THUGS AND WILL DO IT OURSELVES IF THEY WON'T
All within the LAW tho.
I sleep with a 357 magnum, just hope I wake up in time...LOL

I thought that was what" neighbor watch" was all about! What are we supposed to do if we see someone breaking into our neighbors house....wave to them and be neighborly....help them load up.....hold the door for them? Don't try that around here...I will deffinately get you in the cross hairs.Quanell can kiss my ...!

What is the current status of this situation? Have charges been brought against the gentleman yet? I've been out of touch the past few days.

No, Foehammer..they're still saying it has to go to the grand jury. I do know that the neighbor has stepped up and said that he DID ask Mr Horn to watch his house, so the Castle Law will apply to and protect him in both civil and criminal courts.

That is good to know...and good for Mr. Horn. And you know...I didn't know for sure if the two men were on Mr Horn's property either until reading this line.

I hope both of these things will go a far way to clearing him of any guilt.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments--

The whole crux of this story is "whether the minority community can get this indictment--or if the community stands firm in its laws"--
If they can, "we have lost the battle to the criminal element" regardless of the social issues they inject--
They will use EVERY ploy--(as the mexicans do)--They are GOOD people--"They were just in need"-"They didn't deserve to be killed"---
& interject compassion, & socialism into the
arguement--
I have seen grand juries made up of "not so smart" citizens that do not always make good judgements--
I pray that this never comes to pass--because that will signal the beginning of a "dangerous era"--??
Just my thoughts--

i guess he was supposed to help them get away? Get real! I wish he lived in my neighborhood. I guess no one in their family had a problem with them stealing until they got caught. The Lord says "Thou shalt not STEAL! Its that simple, you don't take things that don't belong to you! When you break in someones house, you can get shot, and well thats what happened! Lifes ruff in the big city!
