As I read responses from bloggers, I get the opinion that a VERY large sect of citizens are disappointed in our country's leadership.

I sense that there are many  responsible citizens that believe in our fundemental "way of life" should be continued.

It appears that our leadership has been taken away by a money-hungry group leading us into a war for personal gain, our country is being taken over by illegal immigrants, & our social funds & economy are being destroyed  be these actions.

So what do the responsible people who built this nation do during this crises?

They MOVE----?

They cannot espouse their true feelings for fear of reprisal---

They cannot change ANYTHING---

Out of " MILLIONS"  of citizens in this country--there is not "ONE" politician who will offer them a choice!

NO politician will/can espouse their opinion, because it would be political suicide.

NO media source will address the problem--?

They all sound the same--The all offer some asinine approach to problems that I would surmise that most average citizens could come up with  a better solution. The problems they address are for the most part, NOT problems we need to address!

WHERE is a person who has "principles that they will stand up for?

Surely, there is ONE person that still has the values that made this country great, that ascribes to the fundemental values of economics, fairness, & logic.

If you have priniples, stand up for them--if others do not support you--that is their perogative!

Where would a certain race be, had not Dr. King stood up for HIS principles, even though MANY  opposed a lot of his views!

There is a saying--"you can run, but you cannot hide"--

Fleeing to the surburbs, abandoning your cities,  is not a solution, because after they destroy the cities, they will soon find you also--

I guess like so many--I have no answer either--

It just seems to me that there would be ONE person--who has some intestinal fortitude !!!

Oh well, your views, if you choose--

I am not sure what your point actually is. What is the problem?

They are either mad at the blacks, whites or the president.
But the point is made that we don't seem to have anyone to vote for in either party. That they all have a well written script to follow by route. No one seems to stand out in the crowd as being "The One",with that, I agree.

oops hit DONE before I was.
Voting for the lessor of 2 evils is, voting AGAINST someone, NOT voting FOR someone as we should have the opportunity to do. STill SAD

Seems to be what it boils down to.
I remember the electricity of the elections when I was a child. My Daddy was a card carrying Democrat and business manager of Local 269 Boilermakers union.I was raised in an atmosphire of opinions. Like me, every body had one and where ever my Dad was, there was guaranteed to be a lively exchange of those opinions. But those were the days of really outspoken campaigns. Not the watered down version we have now.I don't think they would be considered politicaly correct, but, I think that sometimes you can't always be politicaly correct and still get said what needs to be said.
But everyone was most certainly voting for thier choice to win! You can bet your lunch that they could, and would ,tell you exactly why they were voting that way. It was taken VERY seriously.I so remember the Kennedy campaign....Man, what a time it was around our house.
We don't have anyone that can instill that kind of passion .

I think humanity has veered off the highway on what middle class citizens are facing. Your point is well taken about humanity. Many of our politicians from ALL parties (Democratic and Republican) are just speaking rhetoric to get the votes. No one from any party is ready to step up and make necessary changes. They are too busy stalling bills and congressional issues, in order to keep the special interest groups/lobbyists.

Well said Sassy--
I KNOW from talking to many people, reading blogs & getting members drifts that there ARE many people who are looking for a Dr. King/G. Wallace/Harry Truman/J. Kennedy--who were NOT afraid to say how they felt, or stand up for America--& now we cannot find ONE person--out of MILLIONS--to take up this fight--??
To address the MAJOR immigration issue--
To address the lobbyists-
To fix the healthcare issue--
To address this asinine war--& it's ensuing debt--
To stop the ravaging of our social system, & economic structure--

That was my point--whether you agree with the points I make--or not--there should be one candidate for these people--??

Thank you all for your comments--

Voting today is just putting someone into a job with a good salary and big benefits with FREE health care paid by the tax payers.

Once in office they relax knowing when they leave, their benefits will continue with a pension paid for by the tax payers.
Not forgetting the family who also benefit.
Thats where the trouble is and we should all get the same or change the system and make them equally pay their way.
Whenever help is needed for our kids and the elderly there is never a chance it will reach the house floor and will be vetoed by the village idiot of a president.

Do we vote for the same people or create another line, group or mob of beneficiary.
Has anyone ever thought of this ???????????
