Chancey is now the official  American Cheetah Ambassador for the American charter of the CCF.

I just thought I would update everyone on what is going on. Tonight Trish called and gave me the news on how it is going with the school presentations and the filming by animal planet.

This is Chancey's official publicity photo. Which also has a funny story behind it.

 

The presentations have gone better than expected.

So far Chancey and Trish have visited three schools in Denver Colorado. Highschool,a junior high and a grade school. Three the children really love her and her playful personality. She has been photographed by hundereds of people since thier start . Animal planet is filming these presentations and all is going well. There were three thousand of these photos up top produced and all have been given away. Trish told me something cute happened at the grade school. Many of the children were asking if Chancey had her own email....Thought that was kind of neat.

Trish told me the exec's with A/P were amazed at how friendly and tame she was compared to other tame cheetahs they have delt with. Also at the Denver elementary Chancey was allowed to go out on the playground and chase her soccer ball around with alot of the kids. Trish said everyone had alot of fun with her.

She even said some of the teachers wanted to steal  Chancey. They were joking of course.

Also I was informed that A/P wants to do another show on Chancey. Since they found out we have hundreds of hours of Chancey on video from cubhood to adulthood, they want to feature her on the series'"Growing Up "".

When I get the air dates I will let everyone know.

Now for the funny story about the photo.

The photo itself is mine, they prefered that one over the ones they had taken. Now as for the paw print on the photo. You would think it would be easy to put her paw on an ink pad and then onto a piece of paper,right? Think again.......Chancey was in her  wild and wacky playful moods that morning so each time they would try to get her over to the pad she would yank her paw back and dash around the place.

There were four people including Trish chasing her around that tiny office, with of course all kinds of  office supplies and things getting knocked over. Trish said the carnage was incredible.Now can you imagine the scene with five people trying to catch a one hundered and twenty pound cheetah thats running around a tiny office. She was leaping ontop of tables, knocking over chairs, and she even nailed the coffee pot. I wish I could have been there to watch. As they would corner her she would hunker down to the ground, shake her backside to and fro then she would take off  again with the group trying thier best to tackle her. So after about twenty minutes of this, they gave up and let her calm down.

Which later Trish had to be the one to collect the paw print...She told me she would send the office damage photos to me later. Which I will post.

I do hope everyone enjoys these stories. I am going to wait a year before I finish the book about her. I want to include the presentations and the two shows from A/P.
