WHO DO YOU THINK MAKES THE BEST BBQ IN THE HOUSTON AREA

With more than 10,000 eating establishments in Houston, that's a wide variety of food to satisfy your taste.

With that said, who do you think makes the best barbeque in the Houston area?

I like to chow down on some BBQ and all the fixings at one of the picnic tables at Goode Company Barbeque on Kirby.

What's your favorite place?

when i feel like being bad, texas roadhouse has the most tender and flavorful bbq ribs i ever had. of course i have a limited resource base as i have not tried ribs everywhere in houston. if i did that, i'd be afraid my doctor would ask me if i were mainlining crisco! the margaritas aren't too bad either...

i'm not a big bbq person myself, but i don't shy away from going to goode company. i -love- their loaded baked potato with barbecued beef... they call it a chopped baker i think. mmmm mmmmm goode!

I really don't have a favorite BBQ place except my house! I've eaten at several places and Foe is right about the one outside Wharton. But the Hinze's in Sealy is terrible alone with the other one in Katy! I'll have to try the one on Kirby and The Texas Roadhouse that randy said is good. My problem is most of the BBQ is boiled first so it taste's burnt. I guess they are in a hurry to sell it.

I've always worked around men who love BBQ. So, at various times for a function we've had BBQ from various regions. Going's BBQ in Baytown, No Name BBQ in Pasadena, Heinz BBQ in Wharton, Texas Roadhouse, Rooster's in Baytown, Luther's in Conroe, Brother n'Law's BBQ in Houston, and a few dotted along various parts of Texas. I've travelled outside of Texas too. Always notice that Texas ranks high in my opinion on BBQ. Most of the other states just don't fix it quite as flavorful as Texans do. Anyone else notice that?

Joe's BBQ in Alvin is the local tops with my family. The fairly new Dickinson BBQ is good too, especially the side dishes.

My husband is the grill-master! I have never eaten anything in any restaurant comparable to his BBQ!

I love reading books, seeing movies, staying up with current events, running and watching what I eat most of the time--got to stay healthy. I blog here in my spare time, mostly late at night and in the early morning hours.
