I must admit I am slightly disappointed in the outcome of the democratic race. I mean I am an African American Woman, of the younger generation, I guess you could say,… I am 23. I would love change just like anyone else… hell come on now everyone bashing Hilary Clinton, but guess what if Obama never ran for president, who would every non-republican voter be going for? Exactly, President Clinton would have been nominated way before the republicans decided McClain would be their party’s front runner

What really disappoints me is the majority vote is based on race. Who cares about making someone president because they are black? This is where we going to get really messed up. We voting based on a skin color or, in George W. Bushes case, because his Daddy was president and he was Governor of Texas.

Now look at the dire situation our economy is in. Gas is costing half of minimum wage, we living in what seems like depression number 2… and that sucks because I wasn’t born in the first one and didn’t quite expect to be witness to the 2nd one.

But before I go on let me say right now that I am not against Obama… he wants change. Hell Hilary does too. Why can’t two strong, American devoted, people run together… I mean what we need more than ever is Unity. We need to get our troops home, ASAP. We over there fighting a war that is irrelevant, we not on track we just stuck. Al-Qaida came over here and bombed our towers; they killed a lot of people, and changed America forever. Yet, we retaliate but not against the bombers, we over in Iraq trying to make them Americans. Who doesn’t see a problem here?

I’m really beginning to think, as horrible as it may seem, that this bombing was an accuse to go over seas and catch Sad am Hussein who I don’t believe had jack split to do with this 911 BLEEP. Something is fishy in our government and the White House and anybody who continues to say that we need to stay at war needs to not even have the balls, sorry about the frankness, but they shouldn’t even dare to run for president. We over there sacrificing our brave, bold, and courageous troops for no cause, a war of no meaning and no benefit to America.

Most people say non-war supporters are anti-American… that those who think our troops are wasting there time doesn’t love our country. Well you know what, here’s what I think about that. We lost thousands when these terrorist bomb our fellow Americans in that tower 7 years ago. Yet, we’ve lost double that in this war where a man sits and taunts us with merciless video clips of him torturing our troops. And what do we do… nothing. And if our president would put the amount of dedication he did to catch Hussein into finding Bin Laden we might just have a chance America.

So as a democrat watching two great potential president candidates fight against each other for the lead spot instead of joining together to make us whole again… I just can’t see a bright future for America. We need change, but in that change Obama… we need unity as well. Choose Clinton as your running mate… that’s the winning ticket against McClain and the resuscitation of America.

C'mon cdemerson... His name is not even McClain. Before you count somebody out, at least learn what their name is

First off let me state you are not an African American woman. You are an American woman! If you had came from African and become an American citizen then you could use that claim!

One of your comments I agree with and the others I don't. McCain may not be too good of a choice but another Clinton in the white house is not America's idea of a good thing no matter in what capacity. If she were actually chosen by Obama as a running mate then he would not make the first year. Check her's and Slick's record on people who have died when they got in their way!

Obama is nowhere near ready to lead anything! He would not make a good supervisor of a donut shop but he can be a Used Car Salesman! He tells YOU what he believes you want to hear and will turn against America as soon as the door closes behind him if he's elected. Check his book "Audacity of Hope" and read for yourself. His words were "I will stand with the Muslims if the political winds change in an ugly direction"! How American is that and what kind of change are you wanting for our Country?

Skyder I appreciate your vote for McClain... McCain whatever. He is a republican first of all and in all my 24 years of life I have never seen a republican give a rats butt about the average blue coller worker... and secondly anybody who says they want to keep a war going for 100 years is insane. I bet you voted for Bush too didnt you.. Hmph we see where that got us.. and I bet you make more than 50,000 a year. Figures!

Also I am not a big Obama fan. But I know one thing hell will freeze over before I vote a republican back into office. I am sick of minimum wage for the poor and tax breaks for the rich. Proverty will set in for everyone if our country is ran by another rich white man. No I think I will take my chances with a democrat no matter how bad they seem. At least they care about the poor.

Also you mention something I did not know. Obama and his muslim statement. I dont know I am a Christian and I really actually think nothing we speak upon can change the fate of time. Maybe this is just a sign that the end is near.. well with the wars and hardships as they are. Another sign would be someone in power merging politics and religion.. look out this might just be that sign.

cdemerson...yes, I voted for bush, and was the "blue Collar Worker" you speak of, and yes now I make more than $50K a year. Now if it was the republicans fault that you are in the situation that you are in, wouldn't I be in that same situation? Truth be told, I've been in this position for almost 9 years (that's 8 years of Bush). Tell me what the Democrats have done for the BCW that made your life so much better?

cdemerson, something you stated caused me to wonder something? Look at all the catastropes that have occured over the last 3 years? Katrina, Rita in the US. The suinami(mispelled), the typhoon, and now the earthquake. Look at the number of people who have died? Is God telling us we had best straighten out or he will destroy us all? Or is Mother Nature just fixing something?

I don't mind having someone with religion in the white house but not someone who believes all non Muslims are evil and must die. Nor someone who has ideas of being the ruler of our Country. The republican is not much either but as I said before he is a war veteran even though he does have some goofy ideas as well.

Skyder congratulations on your rich lifestyle and your vote. I hope you are living proud of your decision and you can sleep at night knowing that other people families are dying over seas so that you can keep your 50K paycheck..

and red i dont know about your faith but to me mother nature is God. He rules everything and nothing happens without His allowance. Whoever gets voted into office will be in the plan, and whatever happens happens.. I am just exhausted on the subject yet...

cd... I worked HARD to get where I'm at. Are you saying that you think that the government had any part in that? How come YOU don't make 50K plus per year? Oh that's right... Bush keeps you from that luxury. I sleep just fine, thanks, and just like you, I enjoy the freedom that our soldiers provide for us, and am EXTREMELY grateful. I give regularly to the Disabled American Veterans as a token of my appreciation, so don't you preach to me how you have all the answers by voting in a rich white woman, or a rich black man? I'm with redtractor... we don't know WHAT the country will be like with whomever gets elected. Sounds like you are blaming ME because you don't have what I have.

How well do YOU sleep so that you can keep your minimum wage paycheck?

REPLY ESPECIALLY FOR SKYDER..

First of all Skyder I didnt blame Bush for nothing. Dont speculate it doesnt show your 50K intelligence. And as far as you working hard... keep doing that I make minimum wage and I work hard for my 6.50. I'm not complaining or worried about that because you see while you have your riches here on earth mine will be in heaven one day.. But I know you dont believe in that I enjoy the notion of knowing my blessing will rain harder than yours. God bless you son, I hope your temporary riches and your belief in our government continue to make you happy and you sleep at night.

but in answer to your question do I sleep well... actually no. I stress everyday wondering how me and my family gonna make it off my 600 dollar a month paycheck. How can a person sleep wondering how they gonna eat the next day or how they gonna pay the bills thats due. I bet you dont care about that.. No not with your 50K income. You see the difference between me the democrat and you the republican is that I always feel a pain for those who dont. Those people who are sleeping on the street. And not ALL of them want to. Shelters are full.. people are hungry.. money is being shipped over seas. What about America's need. I know you dont agree with me and thats fine.. conversation over.. I have more blogs to write and discuss..

I am a lover of the written word. I enjoy expressing myself with the beauty of imagination. I am a 23, african american female whose dream is to change our society. It is not racial discrimination that I intend to change.. but the prejudice that society has toward the generation X and the mistakes we make. We need change..
