So  Mr. Horn get a way with murder. Alot of different people feel conflicted about how this turned out.. I feel like he should be punish, not because he was defending his neighbor, but because he did not act in self-defense. Even cops are not allowed to shoot if a suspect is not armed and is fleeing.. This is the transcript of what happened.. my comments are in bold red. I dont feel like the suspects should have gotten away with stealing, but to kill them that was not right. Material things come a dime a dozen, insurance all that.. I mean we all feel violated when we get something stolen from us but we have to realize that when we die.. naturally of course, we cant take none of that with us.. but if we sit up and kill someone over materialistic stuff we gonna have to live with the fact we took a life.. who wants to spend their life with that on the conscience??

Horn: "OK, he's coming out the window right now, I gotta go, buddy. I'm sorry, but he's coming out the window. "  

Dispatcher: "No, don't, don't go out the door, Mister Horn. Mister Horn..."

Horn: "They just stole something, I'm going out to look for 'em, I'm sorry, I ain't letting them get away with this --. They stole something, they got a bag of stuff. I'm doing it!"

Dispatcher: "Mister, do not go outside the house."

Horn: "I'm sorry, this ain't right, buddy."

Dispatcher: "You gonna get yourself shot if you go outside that house with a gun, I don't care what you think."

Horn: "You wanna make a bet?"

Dispatcher: "Stay in the house."

Horn: "There, one of them's getting away!

Dispatcher: "That's alright, property's not something worth killing someone over. OK? Don't go out the house, don't be shooting nobody. I know you're pissed and you're frustrated but don't do it."   (So he is warned not to go outside.. point blank)

Horn: "They got a bag of loot."

Dispatcher: "OK. How big is the bag?" He then talks off, relaying the information.

Dispatcher: "Which way are they going?"

Horn: "I can't ... I'm going outside. I'll find out."

Dispatcher: "I don't want you going outside, Mister..."

Horn: "Well, here it goes buddy, you hear the shotgun clicking and I'm going."

Dispatcher: "Don't go outside."

On the tape of the 911 call, the shotgun can be heard being cocked and Horn can be heard going outside and confronting someone.

"Boom! You're dead!" he shouts. A loud bang is heard, then a shotgun being cocked and fired again, and then again.  (Chilling, I cant believe he did that)

Then Horn is back on the phone:

"Get the law over here quick. I've now, get, one of them's in the front yard over there, he's down, he almost run down the street. I had no choice. They came in the front yard with me, man, I had no choice! ... Get somebody over here quick, man."

(He had no choice? he certainly did he could have stayed in the house.. plus the men was running not trying to attack him this is not right!! )

Dispatcher: "Mister Horn, are you out there right now?"

Horn: "No, I am inside the house, I went back in the house. Man, they come right in my yard, I didn't know what the -- they was gonna do, I shot 'em, OK?"

(Thats a lie those men were trying to run away who runs up against someone with a shotgun. He shot them because he was mad that they was robbing his neighbor and was almost at risk of getting away)

Dispatcher: "Did you shoot somebody?

Horn: "Yes, I did, the cops are here right now."  ( So there we have it the cops showed up immediately after he shot the guy. If he had of let it be they would have been caught)

Dispatcher: "Where are you right now?"

Horn: "I'm inside the house. ..."

Dispatcher: "Mister Horn, put that gun down before you shoot an officer of mine. I've got several officers out there without uniforms on."

Horn: "I am in the front yard right now. I am ..."

Dispatcher: "Put that gun down! There's officers out there without uniforms on. Do not shoot anybody else, do you understand me? I've got police out there..."

Horn: "I understand, I understand. I am out in the front yard waving my hand right now."

Dispatcher: "You don't have a gun with you, do you?

Horn: "No, no, no."

Dispatcher: "You see a uniformed officer? Now lay down on the ground and don't do nothing else."

Yelling is heard.

Dispatcher: "Lay down on the ground, Mister Horn. Do what the officers tell you to do right now."

Basically he deserved to be punished. When society begins to think they can take justice in their own hands.. then why will we need police, judges, and a jury? We can just be our own public servants!!!

Death penalty ASAP. No need to waste tax money on a trial for this sick twisted wacko. How do you set your own blood, two innocent, beautiful children on fire and toss them away like trash? I dont even think we need to give him a chance for some lawyer to get him off on a plea of insanity. Yeh i believe he's crazy alright, but crazy enough to die in my opinion.

And then they speak about how the kids were living in such a dirty unkept house, probably victims of sexual abuse and such. What saddens me is what if he was sexually molesting the daughter, remember it was her scent that the dogs tracked from the tennis court, to the house, and then to the car. What if the boy walked in on the father molesting his sister and thats why he decided to kill both children. To silence them, then he burns the bodies to destroy evidence of his sick doings..  It kills me really to think how they died so alone at the hands of someone who they trusted and loved. He set them on fire.. watched them and smelled them burn and then picked them up and place them in a trunk on Father's Day.

I cant help but think that they could have been saved. If only the mom had called the police sooner. I wish that the police had of pulled him over just 15 minutes earlier for a routine traffic stop and arrested him on his outstanding warrents then maybe the kids would have had a fighting chance. There are so many what if's or could have's.

I dont know what goes through a person's mind or what makes them wake up one day and decide I dont want to be a parent any more. What makes them walk down stairs and see little angels playing innocently on a tennis court, call them and say lets go for a ride. To watch them run filled with laughter and climb up into you car, then drive them miles away from home, set them ablaze, watch them withering in pain, crying for help, for their mom and dad. Then who climbs back into their car and drive home like nothing ever happened. It 's like a story you expect  from the mind of a twisted horror movie. But no, its real and it happened. And two kids are dead for nothing.

And then we want to know why? But in reality there is no answer even worth it, because when you take the lives of two innocent victims a 3 year old baby and a 7 year old child what reason do you need. You take their lives in the worst possible inhumane way and we ask you why you did it. To hell with knowing why, I dont care all I know is Randy Sylvester Sr deserves to die. He has no remorse, no shame. So we should bring justice for the victims in this case. The children matter not him!

Two young kids vanishing without a trace. Impossible, there is no way that these kids can disappear and nonone knows what happened. Magic is nice, but in the real world disappearing in thin air is not real. These kids went with someone they trusted, no screams, no cries. Its obvious. I just hope and pray that they're not dead.

I feel like the parents are involved. I know we all react differently to shock but your kids are gone. You are on camera with no tears not even panicking. The only one to even show emotion is the grandmother and even she believes that her son is guilty. This could be a transaction for drugs or something.. he didnt have the money so they took the kids. And if this is the case I would fear more than the drug dealers if I was him. These are your kids dude, two beautiful young innocent victims of carelessness. And the police should arrest both the parents for neglect anyway for leaving two young kids outside alone. Who does this??!!

I am so sorry if I come off as beligerant right now.. but I'm upset and these arent even my kids. But the thought of how evil the world has become has me distraught at the worst that could become of these kids. I hope they find them, I pray they find these children safe and sound. I hate to think the worst but with the time ticking down and the days getting longer with no clues.. what else are we to think. Arrest the mom too.. make them talk before its too late!!

What are today’s fun and games turning to? I mean when I was young we played hide and seek, freeze tag, make believe house, rode bikes, normal things like that. That was 10 short years ago.

Now kids are playing games that kill each other.. what the hell do you find exciting and fun about choking your friends or yourself until you pass out? I always thought the worst way to go out would be to drown or to hang to death. Its doesn’t feel good, that hurts to feel your head swell up and pulsate and your lungs bloat up desperate for air. I feel so sorry for the families of these kids. You go to sites like you tube and see videos of kids murdering each other for fun is really what it is. And the sad thing about it is parents are blaming themselves but what can they do? Really, a parent cant watch their child 24/7 especially when they are teenagers and should know better already. There has to be an emotional or mental problem underlining the reason why a child would seek pleasure in putting their hands around another child’s neck squeezing until they pass out.

Then if you look at the video of this practice you see that they are so inexperience in what they are doing that they don’t even seek emergency help.. They laugh, they slap their playmate trying to revive them, until its too late to even help the person.

I’m actually stunned, watching that video really scared me. It frightens me because I have a daughter and to imagine her up in her room playing with her best friend and they are playing some deadly game how to I prevent that. How do I know that when I allow her to go skating or swimming like I did as a teenager that she isn’t choking her self. We have enough worries trying to protect our children from gangs, drugs, rapist, and pedophiles, now here comes a killer in the disguise of a game. OH GOD, help us!!

Wow, I never knew how divided and literally ignorant Americans was until I started blogging. I mean I live a typical secluded lifestyle I really dont interact much with too many people so when I posted the blog about my the gay lifestyle and the American vote I didnt expect to be bombarded with opinions of people judging whether it is a choce or not. I mean do you know how many teens and adults commit suicide or live a depressed life because of the harshness of society and the pressure to live a so called normal life? I was like that once. A young 9 year old strangely attracted to other girls and I wanted to die because my mom told me I was going to hell. Well you know what I am 23 now and I am starting to embrace who I am. I cant stress anymore because of what society has interpreted God of saying. Everyone who believes will read the bible and about 10 out of 10 people who do, will get a different meaning from it...

So you think you know how a gay person feels right? Wrong, you dont I will say once again Homosexuality is not a choice. You can not, and  I dont care how you try and interpret what the bible says because I can interpret it a whole different way and debate that is does not say that. I was raised in the church and I happen to know that the bible says a man sins with his heart not just his mind and body. So if I decided not to ever date a woman again. I would still be sinning because thats what I would ultimately lust after in my heart.

A message to the heterosexual readers. When you find yourself attracted to the opposite sex it comes naturally doesnt it? Yes, you dont think about it you dont question it, its just a way of life. Thats how its is when i look at a woman. I do not flaunt who I am or beg that you accept it. God knows my mind, and my heart I have begged and prayed to be delivered from this lifestyle that pushed a wedge between even me and my family who believe that I am choosing to be attracted to members of the same sex.

People go through life and every one sins. I do not appreciate being compared to a pediphile thats is not the same. A gay person is just the same as the next. We are human, we breathe the same air why do we get rediculed? I dont see why there is such a fuss about being gay. Its like being gay is breaking a law and we make laws to protect us? How does my choice to be in a relationship with another gay female hurt you? Ask yourself that. You, the people, do not choose what happens to me I answer to one God.

Then we focus on homosexuality and bring up the bible but what about you who have sex out of wedlock, who lie, steal, and cheat. Who lust, envy, and fight. And lets not forget who judge. Before you judge the speck in my eye, be sure you remove the log in yours. Remember that before you try and tell me how I feel and what God says is wrong. No one is perfect and being gay happens to be something I struggle with everyday. Is it right no its not, but as long as God still acknowledges me as his Child who the hell cares what the American people say.

America, the land of the free.. or is it? I dont really think so. When we have to vote on what legal adults want to do in the privacy of their own lives. I mean Gay Marriage who gives heterosexual people the right to judge whether their gay neighbor can marry someone of the same sex. That is just plain absurd. Do we vote on whether it is right to let straight people decide to marry. No!

Someone hit the nail right on the head when they said it is the church and its belief that makes gay relationships wrong. I agree i mean i  am a christian.. i believe in God and his word.. but in that same sense i am also a gay female. A choice, no. I cant help who i love and i cant help what i feel. This is what i am attracted to as naturally as a straight man is to a woman and vice versa.

There has been many speculation on where homosexuality comes from. Whether it be a choice or a defect by  birth. I see it as this. I do not choose to live a lifestyle that is rediculed, hated, cursed, and rebuked. What I do choose is to act on this lifestyle by engaging in a relationship with a woman. I do not CHOOSE to have the feelings.

I dont know if that explains it but thats how it is...  did anyone think to ask someone living the hated life of a gay person how hard we have to go through life. How depressing it is to be considered not normal. Then to have our rights undergo scrutiny and then voted not equal. Nobody cares about the next person if it does not concern them.

I am a gay female but I would not care if the law decided it was legal to marry or not. I do not want to marry anyone for that matter but i do not vote against those who do want to marry. How does it affect our state. or government, or economy if our gay neighbors want to marry each other. It doesnt... We tend to focus on issues that have no bearing to a better America. Leave irrelavant issues as Gay Marriage alone and lets focus on how we can get our economy back into production.

Killer storms, Giant tidal waves, Earthquakes and Tornados and this years presidential race, what do all these have in common? Could it be what the book of Revelation speaks about?  I mean for all the Christian believers we all know oh so well that the bible speaks about the end of time and all the signs that will mark its presence. We dont like to talk about it, but we cant deny that it is coming or could be just around the corner.

As a child I was constantly reminded about the time being near. That was 20 odd years ago, now the signs are clearer more precise. Millions have been killed in the last year put together. I mean add the tsunami, the earthquakes, Katrina, Rita and the war and we're looking at a clear shot of something. And now the presidential race and the bitter fight to the end. I mean we all know that the world wont come to the end before the Anti-Christ is revealed. We know that he will be someone of power and we all know that he will appear to be a lover of Christ, fool the people... or those who are not strong in the word of God, and then take over the world. I have an inkling of who in our presidential race seems to be that person but I will keep that to myself. I just want everyone to be clear about how our economy is going. Its not a mistake, its the prophecy coming true from 1,000 years ago. We know its coming and its here.

I believe that man have a limited power to do anything. God is the ultimate judge and nothing happens that He didnt forsee or allow to happen. He already knew that our world would come to this. We are just seeing it revealed.

You know  i'm beginning to think we give too much power to the government, the president, and the congress. I mean we get nervous when a person has flaws or is not perfect or believes in something we all around dont. Actually when it comes down to it.. we the people are the power. We make the decisions who leads us, and if we learn how to use that power... i do believe we can bring America back to prospering place to live. Right now we are struggling, but we are still the land of the free we must get back into that frame of mind.

I must admit I whole heartedly knew who I would vote for from the beginning. I mean to be honest, back in 2004 when everybody was speculating that Clinton might run for the first woman president I was like yes.. I'm voting for her. Well after blogging and hearing everyone's comments I am now at the point that I'm just confused. No not about who I am voting for but how in the hell anyone knows who they are going to vote for. As far as I see it.. America is divided. McCain is like another Bush in office and we know we dont want to go down that road again. Obama, who I dont know anything about is suppose to be tied to Islam.. oh geez! And Clinton is suppose to be a communist.

So here is all the scandel surrounding our presidential nominees. I think it is just ridiculous because none of them can do anything without us the people. We do the voting, we make the final call... Dont yall see it doesnt matter who gets into office because without our vote Mccain cant keep us in Iraq for 100 years, Obama cant stand with the Muslim and take over the world, and Clinton cant do whatever it is people are saying she is trying to do that could ruin us.

This entire charades of events surrounding the decision 08 is getting old. I am just ready for November to get the republicans out. I'm ready for jobs aplenty and minimum wage to come up. We are putting so much energy into deciding on a final democrat nominee that I just dont see the same amount of energy being put into the final decision. We need not stress what the nominees are speculated on being tied to. Our only concern is our safety and the return of our mighty patriotic heros across seas, the economy and healthcare... anything else is irrelevant.

Remember we are only in danger of who we vote for to be our nations spokesperson and leader. So in the end whose really running our country... we are yall. The president and everybody else speak for us and lead us but we, in a way. authorize them to do so. So if we dont like something or we dont agree on a idea, our vote is what makes it happen. We need to start remembering that. And then maybe we will be alot more prosperous.

Okay is it just me or do you just want to cringe when you hear these 3 words: Gas Mileage Tips.

Well I have a tip.. how about instead of surrendering and saying well we have to live with it lets just spend more money fixing up our cars, or getting new tires, or even buying a more efficient car as one guide put it for saving gas. How about we start protesting this multi-billionaire oil company.

I mean I almost swerved off the road when I saw the latest gas price sign. 3.65 cents for regular unleaded... are you serious!

I dont understand why with the economy like it is why gas got to shoot up like it is. The average household family is growing poorer while the oil companies continue to boom. I bet if we stop buying their stinking gas and ride a bike to work they will start to lower they're outrageous prices. Hell, I'm sure that the gas companies is still going to be able to eat and sleep in their big expensive houses if they maintain gas at 2.00 dollars a gallon. Lowering the gasses at least until people can get back on their feet should not take that much money from y'all greasy money hungry pockets.

I mean maybe a few thousand dollars worth.. but hell you still got a that 3-4 billion dollars in the bank to live off of. I say that this is just greed when gas cost more than the average minimum worker makes..

I felt that maybe I should do a part two to my already controversial blog on criminals and 2nd chances. The reason why is because I felt that maybe people didnt understand why I felt so passionate about the subject. Well you know how the saying goes, you cant judge a man until you have walked in his shoes.. so here goes...

I must repeat that I agree that crime does not pay. So I felt that maybe I should give an example through my own life experiences. I am sure that many of you have heard of the Texas Youth Commission and the scandel that hit last year..

Well what you saw and heard in the news wasnt the half of it. I happen to be a youth in custody of this juvenile facility back in 2003. I was always medicated diagnosed early in my incarceration as severly depressed and having a really bad anger problem, i do forget the terminlogy used. Anyway in this place I was steadily having emotional problems resulting in numerous amount of medication being experimented on me to see if one or the other might help.

Some of them would make me more agitated while some made me calm without emotion at all. During one of these medication trials, I was in one of my moods and refused to go to my room. I stood in the middle of the dorm area and refused to budge. Needless to say this is considered a disruption of program, a regulated reason to physically restrain a youth and place them in mechanical restraints. This was done in a forceful and improper manner. I did not resist but was brought down hard to the ground and dragged to my room.

When I got in the room my legs and arms was restrained in leather belts. My nose was bleeding from hitting the ground face first and the top of my lips and cheeks were rug burned from being dragged across the floor. No medical attention was given to me at that time. The next day they sent a nurse to take pictures of my face, the other staff she went out and filed adult charges outside of TYC saying I had assaulted her. What really happened is she acted inappropriately by climbing on top of me while in restraints and applying pressure to my arms which were tied behind me. In an act of pain I begin to scream and try to wiggle my way from under her. Some way or another she got a purple blotch or bruise on her side. I was 18 she was a staff in a juvenile facility she cried assault and I got charged as an adult.

Today,  I am 23. I have never been to prison, never stole nothing, never even intentionally hit another human being. My lawyer thought it would be smart to do an open plea in court instead of fighting a case in what I know I could have beat. Facing a 2-10 year sentence for assault on a public servant I panicked at the thought of losing. So I agreed to a deferred sentence under the pretense that if I did what I was suppose to do this case would not affect my life. Well sorry it did.

I was released early from probation for good behavior in which I immediately went to Security Academy and became qualified as a commissioned security officer. I obtained employment with a security company for 3 months while I awaited licensing from Austin. Needless to say it was rebuked stating I had a felony and had to wait until 2010 in which I would have the opportunity to have my case expunged. I was fired, and thus ends me here. I have been working at numerous fast food places.. unhappy because my talent and skill belongs elsewhere. I live with my mom because apartments continuously deny me because of this felony. And I still continue to keep my head up.

I am constantly writing letters and blogs to tell my story. Fighting for a cause nobody seems to care about. I am a good person, I have changed my life as a bad teenager and am now a crime free young woman. This happened at 18, I was punished but you see nobody see's the anguish I go through because everyday I still remain imprisoned. I am no longer on medication but I still find myself depressed. But not because of what I went through as a child... no that has been replaced with the realization that the dream I have will never come true. I am stuck in the classification of a criminal.

So you look at my story and tell me that you still believe that our laws are correct. That our system works. Because it doesnt, I changed my life not because of prison being a detterant or I was scared of losing my freedom. No, I changed because I matured and learned how to better handle my emotions and because I wanted to be a better person. I am fighting for those people out there like myself who have made similiar mistakes and are paying for them .

We dont deserve this. If you give us a 2nd chance, then really mean it. Someone hire me, let me earn my money and my right to be a member of society. You are not God, so you can not judge me for my past transgressions. If He can forgive, Why cant we? And even if God, is not who you believe in. Then think of it this way... if you fall once, wouldnt you appreciate your neighbor helping you walk again?

I had to rush back and write this blog after reading some of the other blogs on the Hillary and Obama race. Some people believe that they will vote for Mcclain before they allow Hillary as their president.

 Guys some of you are voting for Clinton, while others seem to go for Barrack. We all know the intense fight that these two democratic nominees are in. They’re fighting each other like they belong to a the opposing party and that’s not very good seeing that we’re in a critical position and in need of the best person to save us from damnation.

However, we all know that we darn sure don’t need someone, a republican, going back into the white house trying to keep us in a war that is draining the hell out of America’s pockets. If we have to stay at war another 100 years… we won’t have an army, a marine, a air force, or a national guard. Because if we are constantly losing money, jobs, and homes who is going to be able to survive to reproduce potential army drafts. And if the current Army is over there they sure as hell won’t survive 100 years. Come on now America there is people overseas fighting for America who haven’t even ever seen their kids for God’s sake.

Hillary speaks about experience and experience counts when you look back and see that in the Clinton days… we had 8 years of peace and prosperity so don’t count her out yet when our economy was damn good while the Clinton administration was in office. Barrack says change, well that could be good too, but with that comes trial and error and I dont think we need much more error. So how do we solve this deliemma. Experience AND Change... Unity guys

I want someone who is going to get us OUT of Iraq. Whoever that is has my vote. I’m getting tired of the arguments and the fighting like Obama and Hilary are married or something. You guys are suppose to be family, two people believing in the same cause. So why are you slandering one another. A big disappointment is what you guys are beginning to be and will be if you cause America to vote you out for a republican who thinks that the war should go on.

Lets get together DEMOCRATs

I must admit I am slightly disappointed in the outcome of the democratic race. I mean I am an African American Woman, of the younger generation, I guess you could say,… I am 23. I would love change just like anyone else… hell come on now everyone bashing Hilary Clinton, but guess what if Obama never ran for president, who would every non-republican voter be going for? Exactly, President Clinton would have been nominated way before the republicans decided McClain would be their party’s front runner

What really disappoints me is the majority vote is based on race. Who cares about making someone president because they are black? This is where we going to get really messed up. We voting based on a skin color or, in George W. Bushes case, because his Daddy was president and he was Governor of Texas.

Now look at the dire situation our economy is in. Gas is costing half of minimum wage, we living in what seems like depression number 2… and that sucks because I wasn’t born in the first one and didn’t quite expect to be witness to the 2nd one.

But before I go on let me say right now that I am not against Obama… he wants change. Hell Hilary does too. Why can’t two strong, American devoted, people run together… I mean what we need more than ever is Unity. We need to get our troops home, ASAP. We over there fighting a war that is irrelevant, we not on track we just stuck. Al-Qaida came over here and bombed our towers; they killed a lot of people, and changed America forever. Yet, we retaliate but not against the bombers, we over in Iraq trying to make them Americans. Who doesn’t see a problem here?

I’m really beginning to think, as horrible as it may seem, that this bombing was an accuse to go over seas and catch Sad am Hussein who I don’t believe had jack split to do with this 911 BLEEP. Something is fishy in our government and the White House and anybody who continues to say that we need to stay at war needs to not even have the balls, sorry about the frankness, but they shouldn’t even dare to run for president. We over there sacrificing our brave, bold, and courageous troops for no cause, a war of no meaning and no benefit to America.

Most people say non-war supporters are anti-American… that those who think our troops are wasting there time doesn’t love our country. Well you know what, here’s what I think about that. We lost thousands when these terrorist bomb our fellow Americans in that tower 7 years ago. Yet, we’ve lost double that in this war where a man sits and taunts us with merciless video clips of him torturing our troops. And what do we do… nothing. And if our president would put the amount of dedication he did to catch Hussein into finding Bin Laden we might just have a chance America.

So as a democrat watching two great potential president candidates fight against each other for the lead spot instead of joining together to make us whole again… I just can’t see a bright future for America. We need change, but in that change Obama… we need unity as well. Choose Clinton as your running mate… that’s the winning ticket against McClain and the resuscitation of America.
