well i had a great time. treated to a yummy breakfast (cinnamon pancakes, fried bananas with whipped cream), then went to the park and practiced baseball with pete andy and my husband. after lunch we all went on a bike ride, then went to the pool.. and then for dinner my wonderful husband cooked wonderful chicken fajitas. they gave me the cutest cards! (if i get a chance i'll show you the one from little andy... really funny).. and godiva dark chocolate,  godive liquer and kahlua. COULDN'T have been a better day! (oh yeah... the washing machine busted so it could have been a wee bit better if that hadn't happened.)  all in all  it was fun and relaxing and we all enjoyed it. what about you other moms?? tell me what you did.

I got to sleep till 8. The Little Man gave me 4 cards that he made at school. Then all my boys (hub included) took me to the fair and music fest. We spent too much money, had alot of fun and got pretty sunburned. When we got home, the hubs made me chicken fried steak for dinner.

Wellll-we went to church, out to eat and came home. I had a horrible headache and wasn't in much of a mood to do anything--except sleep LOL! My girls and grandsons came over after I woke up. I got some cute cards and wonderful presents!! I have a James Avery charm bracelet and always look forward to see what charms I'll get from my children!! It was a restful day to say the least!

My son and I let my wife sleep in late, and then that afternoon we took her to one of her favorite restaurants, P.F. Chang's, for a Mother's Day dinner... then we took a walk. The weather was great.

We got up and went to church, where I had been asked beforehand to speak on the influence of mothers. This came as a surprise to my mum, she knew I was speaking Mothers' Day Sunday, but she thought my topic was about something else. So I got to brag on her a bit. hahaha. :-)

After church and me taking care of some other responsibilities, we let her open her mothers day gift from us all. We got her a jumbo (like the size of my thigh jumbo) universal remote control. She has a hard time seeing the buttons on the regular remote, and so we got her this one where the buttons are the size of quarters almost. No more squinting or looking for glasses to change the channel!

Included in the bag as well were some of her favourite chocolate bars (Cadbury's and Dove, and some chocolate marshmallow things that had been imported from the UK). So she got to watch tv and movies all afternoon and eat chocolate. :-)

We also had a couple of cards for her, and in the one from my dad there was written: "I.O.U. a large professional outdoor protrait of you with all the boys." That's what she really wants and has wanted for a long time.

Oh, and we also got her some flowers. :-)

Hey Andrea,
Happy Mommy's Day. I'm glad you had a great one. I enjoyed every second of my Mother's Day until I had to leave and go to work, that is! But I still had a WONDERFUL day.

My son had to work on Mother's Day so I didn't get to spend much time with him. My husband, my daughter and I went to church and then spent the rest of the day at my mother's house. Around 8:00pm, I was in tears because my teenage daughter never wished me happy mother's day. Not to mention, no gifts or even a card. My husband had to remind her :(

We'll after my husband had to remind her that's when my daughter and son wrote me a poem but I know the poem came from my son(since he's the one that writes poems). My daughter was the one that handed the poem to me and then we embraced. It was sad... I know she's a teenager and she's not thinking straight right now. I can't wait for her to get past this so I can spend time with my daughter again. Thanks for asking...

I've had some weird thing since Thursday and been in bed most of the time since Thursday. I took a vacation day for work yesterday and tonight. Jeff got me multicolor roses and we ordered IHOP to go on Sunday. Patrick and I enjoyed some very special time; he was in such a good mood on Sunday and we did a lot of just laughing together and laughing that we were laughing. The laughing helped the pain.
