This is just to let everybody know that this is a joke. Yes, everyone that qualifies will get a stimulus payment, but there are some things you should know.
1. Irs has told everyone that if you had your taxes direct deposit, your stimulus payment will go straight to your account within the 3 dates they give. This is not true. What they don't tell you is that if you prepare your taxes through Tax Act, Turbo Tax or any other service and you pay a fee for extra help, you will not get Direct Deposit. You will get a paper check as if you went Rapid Refund 2-3 days.
2. The also gave false information saying that they were going to start mailing checks off between May 9 through May 16. I spoke to Irs and they want start mailing paper checks off until May 16. The rep said this is new to them and this is what they have been told to tell us tax payers. If you have the internet, you can go to the site and confirm what I'm saying.
I could not get an answer on why they haven't given us all the information instead of everyone thinking they're getting their checks early. The rep did tell me that it was a selective few that received checks early, but paper checks was not in the category. If the tax payers don't have a computer at home, they have know way of knowing what is going on. With the gas prices, food and everything else that's going up, they should be rushing these checks to go out as soon as possible.
