Considering the important state of our nation, We are facing some severe problems.

Every candidate tells you "what you want to hear"--

They all have a plan--

After all the suspicious activity that has taken place during the last 8 years, I have considered "the need for a Lie detector tests for all candidates", especially concerning lobbyists, affiliations, goals, & backing.

I know that lie detector tests are NOT infalible, but I have a high rate of confidence in them, more than I have for "the spoken word"--

Would you support this?

Is there a reason you wouldn't?

Just curious!

It sounds good, but the problem is in my opinion that none of them could pass the test. The best way to lie and pass is to believe the lie, they know up front that they are telling a lie.

What the American people need to do is wake up to the #1 reason that people go into State and Federal level politics and that is POWER and CONTROL.City level some do enter to make the city better.

Then you have lawyers that cain't make a living as a lawyer.

I believe there are some who relish in power and control and the contenders would say anything to get such a prestigious job with good pay and life benefits.
The "Read my Lips, NO more taxes" still rings in my ears. Thanks to Bush Sr.
There is no contender proven to be creditable to represent the people and we may have to look at outsourcing to run this country as with everything else.
With States threatening one another over water rights and borders with the treat of action, we are seeing the predictions of author Chittum's
Civil War 2 "The coming break up of America" (1995) Thanks to Bush Jr.

Amen flying info!

I believe it would be a good idea, at least if they didn't pass, it would tell the voters something!
Might not prove they are liars, but it would tell us that they cant pass a test!

As all have stated, not one politician could pass a lie detector test! None of the candidates are trustworthy! Little Bush has sucked us in a war with people who have always fought amoung themselves. But just pulling out right away is not the correct way to fix what is screwed up. Have Ms. Rice gather the so called Iraq leadership and tell them this is what will happen. No more babysitting!

Another Civil War will come if Obama wins the presidency! If Hillary wins we are doomed from her PMS ideas for taxpayers to pay for health care for illegals, non Americans, and government officials.

I say give a lie detector test to all the members of Congress as well as the Supreme Justices!

And let's make it a law that if questioned, no one can say, "I don't recall."

polygraph tests aren't infalliable and it's possible to register false positives on them. In other words a skilled liar with no moral compass can fool one whereas an honest person with bad nerves couldn't.

PBMom,
Are you suggesting that we do away with our constitutional right to plea the 5th?

redtractortom,
We already pay for the insurance and heath care needs of the illegals, and government officials..

Dread-Head,
You're absolutely correct!! If you want to see something funny, hook up an over weight person (someone who perspires a lot) with an irregular heart beat and see what the results show!! Yet a true sociopath can sit there and say they're on fire and still pass..

Native_American: Just politicians testifying before Congress when asked direct questions that you know they know the answer to, but in answering it, it would confirm that they were guilty of why they were in front of Congress.

Just a senior citizen who has a college degree, has been VERY successful in life because of a relationship with my God--
I can probably live out my life in a comfortable status, barring some horrendus social collapse!
I state my views, in hopes someone gets something out of them, & could care less what my detractors think!
I enjoy blogs with sensible, rational, logic, & hope to get something out of them myself--
If my stance seems arogant, I apologize, as I consider myself a humble person.
What I have learned, I feel confident in, & what others have learned, I hope to learn from.
May God bless--
