Most American citizens are honest, or at least try to be!

As you experience life, you see others utilize the system, see ways you can cheat, see things you can do--but because of your principles--you don't!

In this situation:

We see a MORE & MORE--CEO's --find loopholes--

We see people "pad" expense accounts--

We see business's overcharge--

We see people file erroneous credit card "disputes"--

We see people "charging overtime" that wasn't worked--

We see business leaders/politicians take advantage of "immoral situations"---

As the economy worsens, we all will be faced with "options" where

we can utilize these means, MAYBE to survive--?

As I watched the "Moment of Truth" TV program, & see these people HAVE to tell the truth--you see what people are REALLY like!

(Maybe ONE reason for lie detector tests for politicians--?)

I surmise that we ALL "have OR will" resort to immoral/illegal deeds before this ends!

It is not hard to be honest, when times are good, but harder, perhaps when times get bad?

There is a "certain sect" of society that are honest, hardworking, decent, but I fear THAT sect--is being overtaken by those that aren't!--?

Now--for ALL those that get a chance to profess their "moral/decent remarks about what THEY think--lol!

Good question, american patriot. I have been extremely busy this week trying to earn an honest dollar. I am behind on the politics and everything. I believe that a person is and can be honest, regardless of the hard or bad times if they believe in God, The Holy Spirit and Christ. A lot of people were not trained from the day they could speak, walk and think of something that they will not be allowed to get away with that kind of action.

I fear that the those that aren't are taking over because they have mothers who are rasing them without a father image, growing up in a two woman home (granny) and everybody inthat house re finding or devising some kind of plot to beat the system. Welfare, food stamps medicaid, ""crazy" checks and they faid to realize that the kids are watching every thing they do and hear everything which is said.

When I was kid, I heard andwatched everything that went on at my Granny's house and I tried to remember when I raised my 4, that I was careful about what they heard, everything! I taught them to pray for what they wanted, use public school to provide the future skills they will need when they finished, just in case they could not attend a higher level of academia. I am proud to say that they are pretty good about working for their dollar. They never saw me ask anyone for anything, not even my family. We never lived in the projects to have free rent, we lived in the ghetto so they could learn first hand what it was like when I grew up in the ghetto. They were not appreciative of what I worked hard to give them, I prayed and asked God

Hey patriotic, I was raised by my grandparents and when I was young was bitter because as I saw it then I had no father {deceased}.this was a mistake I had the best Father a boy could ever hope for in my Grandfather. He was a Christian of a genuine sort and taught me to have faith in the Trinity and to fight if I had to for what is right. I thought I was poor because I had no shoes until I saw the man who had no feet.Character is hard to come by but if I am even half of what He was I am happy. The Jesus I saw was the Jesus in my Grandpa. My genuine prayer is for all those who are sorry for themselves and in the boat that I was, is that they find a Father in the God Jehova and that the peace of Jesus Christ falls on their soul.

My question has always ben if you have something to hide why must you go on TV after a lie detector test and hurt everyone for money. What is wrong with these people and those that watch it. I watched it once and it made me sick! Why nare we enjoying other peoples misery and condoning their bad behavior!!!!!!!!!!

bluesqueen, I just love your responses!
You & Tre bring up a good point about the father figure-!!
You are my kind of American!

tre-trigger--you too make a good point--
Too many times people are only "respectected AFTER they are gone!

petsaurus--You sound like my wife--
The show is REALLY interesting, but I doubt I would do that for money--
I would bet many a marriage are ruined, after the money is gone--
I don't think there is anything wrong with those that watch it--if they want to get up there & bare their soul, I will watch it!

american patriot, my final comment was cut, too long I guess. I have to remember to be brief. I asked God to show me the correct path to lead me and the kids and follow His ways, not mans' way. Yes, I watch a soap, I did watch 2, but they are so lewd, especially B & B, that I had to discontinue viewing the filth and lustful ways of their story lines. I watch some situation comedy shows, but no reality! I live in reality everyday, no jail or prison type shows, that is a part of reality I do not want to share or understand. I believe in obedience to God, Christ and the law of the land. I give Caesar what is Caesars and live a peaceful, free, loving life. Thanks for the opportunity to talk with you again, petra and tre-!

Just a senior citizen who has a college degree, has been VERY successful in life because of a relationship with my God--
I can probably live out my life in a comfortable status, barring some horrendus social collapse!
I state my views, in hopes someone gets something out of them, & could care less what my detractors think!
I enjoy blogs with sensible, rational, logic, & hope to get something out of them myself--
If my stance seems arogant, I apologize, as I consider myself a humble person.
What I have learned, I feel confident in, & what others have learned, I hope to learn from.
May God bless--
