When we do stories about children needing a home, my heart breaks, and in my mind I rearrange my home to see how they would fit......

This morning we did a story about 5 siblings needing a home.  Oh, how I wish I could.

The great folks from the Blood Bank stopped by the station today.  It felt good to give.

Mrs. Ruby Young.   She was sooooo sweet.  For my birthday she hid ice cream outside on the window ledge to keep it cold.......

We  did a story this morning about volunteering.  It reminded me of my first job as an adult.  I volunteered every Tuesday night at a center that catered to mentally and physcially ill adults.  When a position came open I got it because I had been volunteering for more than a  year and I knew all of the clients.

Now my volunteering includes, church, some school, and a volunteer organization that I belong to.

How about you?  Do you volunteer?

Patti Shieh did a story this morning about "Stay-cation" spots, she mentioned places like Lufkin, Tyler and Nacadoches.........well, uh, those places sound nice....but...

I think I would have to look at someplace like Kemah or Conroe (nice little place on the lake)

I have been puting if off. Felt the buttons get tighter, but I refuse to buy a larger size, so that means I need to drop a few!! 

I hurt both feet in a fall in March, so I slowed down my excercising...but I can't use that excuse anymore!   Time to get back on my bike and sweat to the oldies or something!

Got any tips on how to lose the first 10 pound, cause you know they are the hardest.

We ran a story this morning about a Burger King in Enland selling a hamburger for....$200!!  What, does the waiter come home with you and clean the house and take the kids to school??!!! ...for the week?

When I did eat burgers, I doubt that I ever paid more than $5-$10 (hotel burgers) for one.

What about you, how much would you pay for a good burger?

I grew up with Richard Pryor,  Robin Williams and Bill Cosby, mind you my parents didn't know we were listening ot Pryor. Today I like folks like Bill Bellamy, Kim Coles and Jack Black.
