Morning Bloggerz...

Got to take the Z-Kids to their first Astros game, Sunday, at Minute Maid.

What a great day for baseball... the roof was open and the temperature was excellent. Anyway... the little one was absorbed with which treat she could find next... while the older one made a great effort to understand what was happening on the field. After while, though... their attention span waned and we opted to leave at the top of the 9th with the good-guys down two runs. (BTW... so many people did the same thing, one of the little-Z's asked if anyone was goign to stay to watch the rest of the game)

If you follow the headlines... you know how this one ended: Hunter Pence's walk-off homer in the 12th inning. Sorry I missed it... but no way could those kids have hung that long. Maybe next time.

Z

I've had that problem too at baseball. Growing up my parents ALWAYS wanted to leave before it was over but when my brother and I went on our own we staied till the bitter end.
Now that our sport is Hockey, my daughter has no problem staying till the end. She loves the shoot outs and hopes to see a fight. Kind of mad I know, but that is the sport and its the only time she is allowed to cheer for a fight, that and boxing, her and momma are fans of Oscar "Golden Boy" Dela' hoya

Also Tom, you need to go vote on the 2nd Annual Fox Beauty pageant on my blog. You are in third place for the boys.

At least with those two... it's age before beauty.

I hate it when that happens.
Were you listening on the radio?

Z-Man,
Our kiddos are about the same ages and I have a little question. Did you have really good seats or were they nose bleeders? Do you think that made a difference in your kid's attention span for the game? As you can guess I'm thinking about taking the Siebert clan.

Doc... they were pretty decent seats... and if I'd guessed the 'Stros had a few more runs in them... we could have squeezed-out a full game, with the kids.
12 innings, though... would not have worked with them (at least the youngest Z).

We take our granddaughter to the game often. She loves it. We have sat in great seats and as high as level 3. Level 3 was too far from the game. We have a lot more fun when we sit in the lower level, however, the club level has a little play ground for them to run some energy off mid way through. I think your kids might enjoy it.

PS The Friday fireworks are awesome after the game.
