Morning, bloggerz...

Was returning from a weekend camping trip with one of the z-daughterz when we stopped in Bellville. There were a couple of Harleys, in the parking lot, with stickers that identified the owners as Patriot Guard Riders. They are the motorcyclists who show-up at nearly every funeral for a fallen soldier across the country ... to escort them to their final resting space. The movement started as an effort to protect mourners from protestors... but is now a widespread show of support and patriotism for those who have given all...

Anyway... inside the restaurant, I see a guy who looks like he rides a Harley and say, 'Good Morning, is that your bike with the Patriot Guard stickers?'... and he looks at me warily as he says 'yes'. I stick-out my hand and say 'Thanks, man.'... and his smile was instantaneous. In this time of war... I've been in awe of those who answer the call to serve... and the Patriot Guard, in my opinion, is no different. They bring civility and compassion to a world that seems without it, at times.

Seems the least we can do is say, 'Thanks.'

Z

That was interesting, did not even know they existed, sounds like a good uplifting news story. You should do a report on it.
