Good grief the general election is turning into various little twists and turns.  Our economy doesn't help matters.  But, wow how goofy are these candidates?  Come on, the people on the streets know that the smooth talking jive just isn't going to cut it.

I've heard them bounce the energy subject around like a ping pong tournament.  Each blames the other party.  When in fact, BOTH parties need to accept responsibility.  Now there's a novel idea....don't look for that to happen.

Give these political stupidos (McCain and Obama) the boot.  None of these bozoo's can really get the right thing done.  To be quite honest, it will take an extraordinary person to do so.

Until the Republicans and Democrats get off their hidden agendas in Congress, nothing can get resolved.  What say you people?

I like your idea. Can someone please somewhere own up to things they've said, done, etc.

Not voting at all does nothing. People say they don't vote because it doesn't matter. They don't get it. I truly am going to go into my little ballot box and unless the person has an extraordinary track record and goes against party principles to vote for what their people want (like Ron Paul), I am voting every single recumbent out of office. I don't care who it is. Craddock is out of here. Tired of his power trips. I just love that idea. The polls will mean nothing and have the news people scratching their head. Well, let's remember, it was my idea. Vote out the recumbent regardless the party and vote for whoever is running in other party on the list.

PBMom, I would love to see most of the incumbents voted out just to show them we mean business! Especially the one's who have been there for more than 8-12 years. They have gotten much too comfortable in the position and also gotten use to the lobbiest money! My problem with voting all of them out is some are really trying to do the right thing and we may get more of the money takers plus I cannot and will not vote for Obama! McCain is not much but anything is better than Obama! Maybe McCain's wife can give him pointers on how to run the Country.

I would throw my name in for president but I need lots of money backers to get the attention of the others. Once my name was announced there would be no problem remembering it but money causes the world to go round. I already have my VP selected and she is also ready. She and I could and would change the old status quo politics. Then she could run for president after the 4 years! I don't have a problem hurting feelings to get their attention. Once you have that, they listen!

There is a third choice. Bob Barr is running as the Libertarian candidate. YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED to vote for either McLoser or O'Liar.

Well dudester, I agree 100%--but He has as much chance of winning as I do & I am not on the ballot!

PBmom--good idea & IF I vote--I will probably do that!
The only problem I have with that is that the incumbent is probably a mexican running for LULAC--(as in the sheriffs race--?)
Nah--

I meant incumbent, not recumbent, and I typed that twice. Sorry, my Ambien was kicking in.

Thanks PBMom. Think we should really consider who we are voting for. Don't worry, I knew what you meant. Besides, I'm not the spelling police. If so, wow would my spelling rack up a few fines..>LOL

Redtractortom,
Well now, there's an idea. You should run for President. Goodness knows we need good candidates to choose. I've been researching the voting and it looks like the other parties generally (as a whole) only garner between 12% to 19% of the votes. To pull that feat off against the Republicans and the Democrats would take an act of Congress.

Dudester,
Yeah, I heard he might get into the race. Do you think he has a chance?

Torchbearer,
You know, you have this uncanny knack for seeing something totally off kilter from the rest of us....LOL But, you do have a point. Yep, you bring up an interesting twist.

Toss your hat in there Tom! You got my vote. And we'll toss out all of the incumbents on their butts. :>

Thanks for the vote. I think that makes about four! Hell, I couldn't do any worse than what we will end up getting. At least I have experience supervising people and don't care who I PO to get something done. Of course I may need a cattle prod to get some of the deadbutts motivated. I can do that too. Instead of Democrat, Republican, Independent, or Libertarian we can start the American party. I have a habit of never taking BLEEP from anyone. You make the mistake then you fix the mistake.

If our politicians had to fix everything they screw up they would die before getting everything done. Incumbents would never leave. Maybe it's not such a good idea to make them fix their screwups. I could give them the task of making sure it's fixed before they get voted out or go to prison until the debt is paid! Then we would need more prisons! Man, there is no winning with the Congress we have now!

Yepsie doodle redtractortom. You really need to get in there and clean house. I might take a few Administrations, but it would definitely be a job well worth it. America is not being serviced correctly in Congress.

What will you do with all of the lobbyists?

I would run those a**holes out of Washington. If they continue to come back they would be arrested and put in with the worse offenders in jail. I have worked for a living all my life and taking something for nothing I can't do! I have never played favorites and doing favors is something I do out of the goodness of my heart.
