Let's put the humor back into reality for a second.  What if Congress could be told by the public, in public townhall forum style just what John Q and Susie Q public think.  Come on folks, be creative.  Tell it like it is.   Your chance to stand up to the podium and address Congress.  What would you say?

I'd say "Time for you lot to start pony-ing up the tax $$ same as me. Your free ride is over". Then of course it'd be followed with "Don't taze me dude...." :)

That was a good one Skyder. Loved that last line, so true though. You'd get tazed....LOL Errmmmm apparently the stuffies in Congress don't have a sense of humor.

Hey, what about:

"Okay wise guys. So you think minimum wage is A-okay. No health coverage to those who work part-time." Guess what, from here on out. Your wages will be the minimum wage and since you hardly ever work. You got part-time health coverage - NONE!"

Another fav I'd love to say, "All of you are grounded!"

and.....
"No lobbying around while the common people work."

I would say "Pack your bags....the party is over! It's time for you to get REAL jobs and you guys can pay US to sit on OUR asses and dictate to you where your gas is going to come from." "Now GET TO WORK"

I'd say the gravy train has come to a halt.
All get off and find another job if you can with your track record and resume.

Nancy Pelosi your 100 days, 200 days have all failed go back to the kitchen.

Those in favor of an English language, border fence, no more amnesty, an end to futile wars, re-structuring the Judicial system and ending the useless antiquated geriatric Supreme Court are welcome to stay.

My questions would be why
"The will of the people is NOT being carried out"!
"Why we are over in Iraq trying to set up a government for another country, while we are being INVADED by MILLIONS of ILLEGAL immigrants"?
Why. when 70% of the the people don't agree with or path, we continue down the same road--"?
I woud like a explanation of the intent of NAFTA--?
Why, with almost EVERY facet of our lifestyle headeding downhill, there are no ideas?
WHERE do "YOU" stand on immigration for ALL thse people here illegally?
WHY---with our dollar being devalued, our economy suffering--businesses closing--SOMETHING is NOT being done--?
(It appears that the welfare of China is more important than OUR welfare--We don't make anything, their imports are rampant, & they are drilling for oil on our shores!)

Of course I would never be allowed to ask--& if I were, I would receive the standard reply--"We are working on those issues, & hopefully they will be resolved in the best interest of all"--???

Very interesting post sassy--one of the cutest in awhile!

Skyder, you crack me up.

My questions would be why/how/when on the illegal immigration, tax and gas issues.

I'd also ask when we would stop importing from China, Thailand, etc. and make our own goods. I'd ask who's bright idea it was to send U.S. inspectors over to China to make sure they were producing quality products, and if it was a one-way ticket.

I would tell them to reduce their salaries to that of the average blue collar worker, pay for their own health insurance, and cut out all "perks".

I would ask them to scan and make available online all letters they receive, whether it's an invite to dinner or a citizen voicing a concern, along with their responses.

I think the main thing I would is why/how they could run this country into the ground like they have.

ww,
Your concerns echo mine, which should make us think that "just maybe" we are thinking logically!
There ARE intelligent, logical people left in this world, just NOT any, evidently, with a financial backing to run for Congress!

sassy,
Sounds like you got that from your parents---
which maybe Congress needs--lol!

Gottaluvit,
That is about the truth! Good one.

FYInfo,
You would think the know-it-all Congressional leaders would see that America isn't impressed with them. Actually, weirdly enough most people pay more attention to the Presidential race, instead of the Congressional ones where it counts. Hope more people start paying attention to who they vote into Senate and Congressional seats for their state.

Torchbearer,
Wait! Did you get confused and think I meant Filibuster? .....LOL Okay, I'm just kidding. I vote for you to be our Filibuster representative. You can have that job or shake down the Lobbyists at the door for hidden agendas....LOL

Actually though, you make some interesting and thought provoking observations.

Yes! My Parents instilled good values. I expect that from Congress.

Wonderful-World,
You and torchbearer can head up the Filibuster team. Yep, there certainly are many questions that Congress fails to address. In fact, they create more questions with each passing day.

I like that idea about making their letters available to the public. So many times those standard response replies are annoying. Actually it makes you think they don't give one hoot about YOU - John Q and Susie Q Public's opinion. Now excuse me, I need to go search for that long ruler to hit their knuckles with, evidently they've fallen asleep in class.
