Good morning from Corpus Christi! We started seeing periods of rough weather beginning at about 4:30AM. That's when we got those first big bands of rain. It's since died down a bit, but we know more rain is on the way. Flooding will remain the biggest concern throughout Wednesday and into tomorrow.
We are using some new technology to bring you Dolly from the Coastal Bend area.
Usually we have three man crews....a reporter, photographer and live/satellite truck operator. But in order to bring you the storm from several locations, here in Corpus it's just photog Matt Matejka and me. Oh...and our three cameras!!! We are streaming live from the balcony of the Super 8 and driving around town to bring you the latest live pictures. Did anybody see us via video phone??? What did you think?

My dream has come true! I'm so thankful to report in the city that means the most to me. I'm the one in the newsroom who's excited to cover any story, from the most powerful hurricane to the most mundane city council meeting. While I certainly don't find comfort in reporting on another's troubles, the people I meet each day inspire me in some way, and I hope they affect you, too!
