I'm going to say something I have never said before..
THANK YOU QUANELL X!!
I've dealt with QX personally before, and while I've always thought he is an arrogant, pompous SOB, I have always given him props...the guy is one HELL of a facilitator.
Don't forget, he got that scumbag who killed, filleted, and BBQd his girlfriend to surrender, the scumbag who shot his mom and grandmom over a car to surrender, and now this.
I think when he had his butt handed to him on a platter at the Joe Horn protest, it knocked him down a few pegs. He retreated for a while, apoligized to the Jews, and handled this with a class I must admit I didn't know he possessed.
When it comes to murder cases, if you can close them, close them. If it means you have to hire a facilitator like QX..then pay him what he wants. It's always a smaller price to bring someone to justice than to leave them to walk free.

Sure QX did something good this time, but he was requested by the dad, he did not offer his services. As Lanny mentioned, QX fancies himself a leader, this is his "job". For as much trouble as QX has put the city of Houston thru in recent years, he needs to give back.
Mom needs to be charged. She didnt let her kids go with the dad, remember, she let them out to play. And didnt keep an eye on them. And assumed they were with dad when she couldnt find them. And didnt report them for HOURS. Shes a POS just like the dad in my opinion. And how about the houston court system dropping the ball on this guy?????
This was FUBAR'd from the get go. Those poor babies, R.I.P. little angels.

Good thinking on their part! No doubt Mr. X knows where a lot of bodies are buried.

Community leaders aren't paid? Of course they are. You're gonna tell me that the mayor, city council, etc aren't paid? And personally, if it was my kid, yeah, pay whoever can get something done whatever they want in order to close the case. That, at least, would be worth MY tax dollars. Better that than the shopping cart vice squad, paying for cops to go to tittybars, catch hookers, etc..
HPD had nothing to do with this case, (except for maybe the recovery, since that was in Houston)..everyone thinks that, but this was in PASADENA, and was Pasadena's case. Of course QX wasn't gonna butt in like he normally does..not after what happened at the Joe Horn protest.
I've had to deal with QX and his arrogance personally, and you know what I think? I think having his a55 handed to him on a platter at Joe Horn's protest knocked him down a few pegs. He's certainly kept a lower profile lately..and his blustery holier than thou attitude has not been on display.

Thanks a lot ya'll...you have me doing something I never thought I'd do..defending Quannell X. Now I need a drink!!

shellywade, I don't know how long you've been blogging on myfoxhouston, but if you've been following these blogs AT ALL, then you would know that I LIVE IN SANDRIDGE AND SO THIS HAS A VERY PROFOUND EFFECT ON ME.
And don't preach at us about how WONDERFUL Quannell X is. He has helped out, and SEEMS to have undergone a personality change..but before the Joe Horn incident, he was a blustery, pompous, arrogant A55 who was quick to call everyone else racist but practice obscene racism himself. I have experienced this racism FIRST HAND...have YOU?!!

We were responding to SallyMac's blog, which is ABOUT QUANNELL X and that pitiful excuse for a MOTHER. If you want to blog about the kids, go to the other myriad of blogs about these poor babies, and don't try to chastise people who are responding to the blog. Jeez.
