I stumbled accross some slaming music on the radio this past Thursday afternoon.  I hit a preset button that I don't often hit and it was tuned to 91.7 KTRU.  That's Rice University's radio station and you will  usually find a pretty wide varitey of stuff there.  I dialed in at 6:45pm and caught the end of the DJ's set which apparently every weekk is dedicated to real deal Funk and all it's off-shoots.  The young man on the mic knew his material in and out and was playing some amazing tracks.  I didn't catch his name but his show is every Thursday from 6pm-7pm.  If you are looking for something a little different that's going to make you want to get your groove going this is worth an hour of your time.

Thanks for the heads up Ruben. I tune it in once in a while just for grins and I hear some real "Stoner tracks". I'll check it out. :>

I love old school funk. George Clinton and Parliament are awesome! We saw them several year ago when there was a Rockefeller's West.
