Every now and then we get a truly unique band booked for our Friday morning Fox Rox segment. Today turned into one of the those days when The Friends of Rock and Roll came in for their set. The band is Harold's Mother on keys/vocals and Winchester Slade on sporty blazer and vocals as well. Interesting names for a duo that plays pretty interesting music. Their sound is a welcome change from the standard fair that passes for popular music these days. Think of lounge music from the late 60's meets thrift store chic of today (does that make sense?...).
The guys currently have a cd that is available on Amazon.com and iTunes. Check out their performance clip and let me know what you think. Oh yeah, I should point out that the beautiful ladies that were adorning the set while they played are not part of the band. The came by courtesy of Premier Promotions and their wardrobe was provided by Silver Smith Boutique. Enjoy
