RockStarJewelry's Blog

I am not sure how many of you who read these blogs has seen this, but if you have driven on I-10 East at the 610 North Exit within the past 2 months, you have passed it... There is a HUGE mangled mess of what was once a "Road Work Ahead"  sign on the right side of the road. As you know, this area is on a curve. It terrifies me every time I  pass it, because I have this fear of someone hitting it and throwing debris into my or any other motorists windshield. Or my biggest fear (as I was once in a horrible accident with an 18-wheeler) is that a big truck will swerve into my lane to avoid hitting it and in return cause a horrible accident. This sign (at one time) probably stood over 6 feet tall. I am sure SOMEBODY that worked on the road crew noticed an unaccounted for sign. I am sure SOMEBODY with TxDOT or HPD, or any of the many other agencies that use this stretch of road has passed it, yet for over 2 MONTHS it's still there... Make this make sense to me. This is a LAWSUIT waiting to happen.... But at what cost...?I know I posted this blog under the NEWS catagory too, but I think it's important enough for multiple posts..

 Be safe out there people~!

Honey I live off I-10 East and had to learn the back streets to avoid the freeways. I trust neither the freeway out there nor the driving abilities of my neighbors.

Sometimes I wish it was still back in the day where people rode horses everywhere... It seems like everyone is always in such a rush that the roads are so dangerous,, and with the gas prices the way they are, who knows, instead of the HOV lane we might need the HOH Trail (High Occ Horse Trail, Tee Hee Hee.) I bet with my jewelry making skills I could make a gorgeous, sparkly pair of chaps.... I might be on to something here~!

Yea bring back the horses! I drive that freeway every morning and sometimes at night..what makes me nervous are the concrete pillars..if someone swerves into your lane you either hit him or the concrete...

This summer I plan on spending lots of time on either my bike or the bus. I don't plan on driving unless I absolutely have to.

RSJewelry, every morning when we fly over I-10 around the belt or 610, I do notice that when the Interstate curves, there is a build up, but it only takes 1 bonehead to cause the mess you are talking about. I think if I had a time machine and could go somewhere in time, in would be back, not forward. It just seems like a simpler time with less to worry about. The only down side is that without all the modern stuff to make things easy, it would be more work. Still, I believe it would be great to see it. On another subject, I was at our Hangar in West Houston Airport and a magazine called'Private Air' had a picture of Steven Tyler on the cover. (showed him by his jet, and motorcycle) He is wearing the coolest necklace made out of silver. (Very different) So much so, that I doubt that I could ever find one like it or close to being like it. I don't know what you create in jewelry, and I don't know if you could find a picture of him wearing it, but my question is, do you make necklaces? I'm going to see if I can take a picture of the picture so you can see what I am talking about. I'd love to know if you could duplicate it, or even come close.

Skyfoxshooter~! I am always up for a challenge (RE: Steven Tyler Necklace) If you want, contact me via email and we can go from there. I will see what I can do to find the magazine cover, otherwise, maybe you can take a picture of it for me???

Actually, I found the picture online but it's too small to enlarge enough for any detail.. See if you have better luck~!

My name is Dawn. My blogs should say enough about me~! I have many blogs on myspace but decided to try a new forum. Some of them are funny, some of them serious. They're all just my little way of trying to make sense of this crazy thing we all call life. If I make new friends in the process, even better....
