I heard that June 7 was the 2008 Hurricane Conference at the George R. Brown Convention Center. I have always been fascinated with the weather and would absolutely love to attend. It is open to the public but I am not sure what it's all about. I have looked online to try to find info about the conference but have not been able to find anything. If anyone knows what goes on at one of these confrences could you pass that info on to me? I would love to go but if it's just a bunch of people talking meteorological terms that I wouldn't  completely understand, I am not sure it would be something I would enjoy. I guess I would just like to know what takes place so I can decide if it's something I would enjoy or should pass on... For any of you interested, it's June 7,2008 at the George R. Brown from 12:00p-12:00a....

I know I'm a weather geek and should be excited about the hurricane conference, but I think everyone should be looking forward to it. There will be a lot of different booths where you can learn all kinds of stuff...and as you might expect, I think our kid's booth will be the hot spot. We'll look for you there!

I used to attend them regularly. Some cool stuff in there and really great people to talk to about weather and life on the gulf coast.

My name is Dawn. My blogs should say enough about me~! I have many blogs on myspace but decided to try a new forum. Some of them are funny, some of them serious. They're all just my little way of trying to make sense of this crazy thing we all call life. If I make new friends in the process, even better....
