I live in one of the loft communities downtown right next to Minute Made Park. I absolutely LOVE the building. The location is prime.  Over all my experience here has been wonderful. The landscapers keep the property nice and clean, the flower beds nice and the grass freshly cut. It's like a little paradise in the middle of downtown. At night when I walk my dog, I can hear the roar of the crowd as the Astro's hit one out of the park or there's an RBI... I am a part of this community and am lucky enough to have it as my back (and front) yard.... This is where I live and I take tremendous pride in it. On any given game day, the street is supposed to be NO PARKING from 2 hours before until 1 hour after. I have seen people park there, and absolutely nothing happen, I have seen every car with a ticket under it's windshield wipers, and I have seen every car get towed. It's different every game.. I have to say, it would be kind of a bummer to go have a good time at the game then come out to find you car has been towed... HOWEVER!!!!!! This is clearly marked NO PARKING. While I wouldn't go out of my way and call to have any of your cars towed, out of an act of kindness to those of you who park there, you could extend me the same damn courtesy by not using the grass as the dumping ground for any and all loose trash you have in your cars. It blows my mind at how disrespectful you are to your city as well as what is considered part of my yard. I see it all, coffee mugs, beer bottles, 12 packs of beer bottles in the boxes just set outside the cars, food wrappers, clothes, dirty diapers. Maybe you do this at your own house, but WE don't do this here. It does not save you any time by throwing the trash out on the grass, why not just wait until you have a trash can in front of you...? Maybe all the beer you're drinking while driving (real smart) to the game has clouded your judgement. With everything you see these days about environmental "friendliness" one might assume these idiots have been living under a rock... Sounds more like they were raised in a barn...

Great article RockStar!!! I too share those same sentiments!!! It seems like MY front yard is a magnet for EVERYONE'S trash in MY neighborhood!!! However, I'm a little more direct than YOU, as I have confronted several people and MADE THEM pick up THEIR trash!!! That really chaps MY hide... I take pride in MY yard and manicure it regularly, only to have SOME idiots use the street or MY yard as a dumping ground!!! That just SUCKS!!!

I would love to pick it all up and place it on the hoods of their cars but I have this fear of getting shot in the process...

I live near the med/museum district off almeda near 3rd ward. I've been there two years and recently a nightclub/bar opened just across the street so I know how you feel RockStar.
Garbage and loud patrons are forcing me to look elsewhere. Your area seems to be nice, I pass it all the time after games.
Enforcing politeness and consideration is hard to do. Does your dog bite?
Hahahaha.

He's a 14 year old Chihuahua, so of course he bites.. If you ever cross his path however, I will make sure he is a perfect gentleman ;o) Sorry you are being forced to look elsewhere... It almost makes you feel like by moving, you are telling these people it's ok to do that... What a shame... Good Luck~!

Okay...then. You are so right. I have recieved a ticket after parking next to a parking meter that read....Free after 7 on the Fridays...I didnt realize the other signs that read...No Parking on event night. On the other hand, I totally hate trashers. Hate them. I have had customers throw out those damn dirty diapers and leave them in our parking lot....no respect. If I had it in me, I'de throw the diaper back in their car.

My name is Dawn. My blogs should say enough about me~! I have many blogs on myspace but decided to try a new forum. Some of them are funny, some of them serious. They're all just my little way of trying to make sense of this crazy thing we all call life. If I make new friends in the process, even better....
