What lengths would you go to for your favorite presidential candidate?   Donate money?  Volunteer in the campaign office?  Just cast your ballot?  I had the opportunity to meet some fans crazy for Ron Paul in the neighborhood across from mine.  This is what he and his wife (along with his friends) did for Ron Paul:

I was driving down the road that leads to my subdivision about a week and a half ago.  For 0.3 of a mile, I kept looking in my rearview mirror going "what the???"  It looked like tsome person had painted their car in stripes (actually from a distance it looked like one of Patrick's shirts!).  So when I signaled to turn into my subdivision, the car moved over to the left lane, and as I'm turning into my subdivision, the car passed me, and I got a real good look and I said to myself, "OH MY GOD!  That's crazy!!"  I must go find these people.  I want the picture of that car on my blog!"  I went to my house, got my camera and there was only one subdivision they could have turned into, and I proceeded to go street by street.  I said, "Okay, someone with Ron Paul bumper stickers all over it is not going to park in the garage because they are wanting people to see the car.  And I found it on the third street.  I went up to the house and told them I blogged on Fox 26 and I would really love to put the picture on my blog and to write a blog about their car and could they tell me the story of how it came to be.  I was like a kid on Christmas.  I wonder is this how all the reporters at Fox 26 feel all the time?  I felt like I found something secret that no one else knew about and I couldn't wait to share it with all of you.    He sent me these better high-resolution pictures that his friend took.  To see all the pictures, go to my photo album and look at the album called RonPaulCar.  The car belongs to Clay and Angela Kitchens.  It took 500-600 stickers and 7 hours with the help of their friends Jason Shutt and Jens Jorgensen.  I was so impressed with how they matched the lines on the curves of the car.  It looked like someone who matched wallpaper, a skill I do not possess.

I was hoping more of my favorite bloggers would comment on this, but I think some of them avoid the "political" blog like the plague.  So I'm going to try to put it under "entertainment."  So as entertainment value, do you like the car?  Does it bring a smile to your face as it did mine?  No political commentary necessary.  What is your general reaction when you look at the picture?

Wow what a statement with the stickers. That is crazy and definitely different. Bet these guys are great at wallpapering too, I'm with you on that PBMom. You should also tell them to enter it in the Art Car Parade when the event comes up. Boy that is bravery to sticker your car like that and add a political statement. They did a great job with the stickers, it looks like it was painted onto the car.

PB,

I thought we already covered this topic.

I remember a radio station that covered a vehicle with its station bumper stickers and asked listeners to estimate the number of stickers on the car. The person who guessed correctly would win the car, a clunker. Why in heavens a radio station would give away a clunker is beyond me.

My first thought is I would not drive the car no matter how much I liked the guy, too much focus. I would make a traffic mistake, I just know I would, and get a ticket. I like to just "blend in" with the traffic.

Politics? My Grandmother once told my mother (unrelated to politics): sometimes I feel like going outside and just screaming my head off, only thing is, I would not be able to stop screaming". (Just an "all in fun" statement, as she was smiling at the time)

I think I feel the same way about Politics, once I start talking about politics, I don't think I could stop, plus if I make a statement, I think I'm supposed to stay with it, and I'm just always too willing to "change my mind" as I get more information.

You have no idea how much I want to add to some of the information you have put on here, based on my own paradign, such as simple things people say, actually, make me angry when it would maybe not be noticed by a lot of folks.

For example, someone made a statement during 9-11 that just burned me up, (one of my daughters was living in Perth Amboy at the time and she has a lot of friends there).

If I keep blogging, maybe I will have more to say later, meanwhile, I'm reading, commenting when I can, and doing the best I am able to do.

Chassan: My low-grade fever must have done something to my brain. I meant to post this under "Entertainment" since I didn't get a lot of comments under "Political"

Sunrise: New Jersey! Lived there for awhile and a lot of relatives still living there. My sister is in Toms River.

To all: Forgive my redundancy; like I said I had already posted this in politics, but a lot of my blogger friends avoid the politic blogs, so I meant to post this in entertainment to see if I could get them to comment about the entertainment value of the act. On that note, I'm headed back to bed. Feed a cold, starve a fever? Is that right? I'm sure good solid sleep will make me better in no time.

PBMom,

I'm sorry to hear you're sick. I wish you a speedy recovery.

Why don't you do a Huckabee profile, with his pluses and negatives, when you get well. Just something I was thinking about after reading Ford's blog.
